Big news of the day is clearly the draw for the Checkatrade Trophy.

It's a great draw for Jeff, as we are drawn into a group with Carlisle, Fleetwood and Morecambe.

I'm sure there will be a big demand for tickets, so make sure you get them early, to avoid disappointment :038:

Aren't proper supporters supposed to be boycotting this stupid competition?

No idea. But, despite not knowing you, when I saw the draw, I immediately thought of you. I will admit to being a bit worried about that, though.

Cause we are supposedly better than the opposition.

None of the academy sides have home ties.

Ah, it's competition rules. That's an interesting twist. Seems like a good idea though.

Can believe that - but can't say I paid a great deal of interest last year. Did anyone, really?

It's one of the changes made this year, has actually encouraged more academy sides to enter - perhaps this competition isn't quite the failure some are painting it as

You're wrong to believe it. Academy clubs played their third round-robin 1st round tie at home last season. We lost to Walsall at the King Power last November.
