I know a lot of people here use eBay to buy and sell, so I thought I'd add this new forum on a trial basis so people can post links to stuff they're selling and discuss anything to do with eBay.

Surely thats the point of the thread?

The point isn't to get around paying eBay fees. If you're going to buy stuff, do it via eBay.

It's not what Jeff wrote in his OP.

And are you suggesting that circumventing the fees is OK?

Please do not use this thread for listing your eBay sales. Start a new thread for each lot and give it a descriptive title. This is a eBay forum, not a single post where everything should be listed.

This forum isn't an invitation for spammers to sign up just to post ads, this is for genuine TB members who want to advertise what they have on eBay.

What I might be able to do is set up an eBay page for each member who sells stuff. A bit like the thing with last.fm, you'd put your eBay user name in your profile and it would link to a page with your stuff.

Would anyone be interested in this?

Yes. Might help solve the storage problem I have with several hundred old programs!

(Not bought one since the Go4 silenced MON though!)

I always used eBay as a DVD rental store. I'd buy and sell on again to try and recoup the money, always used to work out cheaper than renting.

However, seeing as you can buy decent titles at around £2 these days from the likes of Morrisons it is getting almost impossible to make much doing it this way anymore.

I often buy from ebay - occasionally sell.

Used to use it a lot for DVD's but you just can't get the prices these days when the supermarkets are doing them at just a couple of quid.
