It's wank, the match day experience once you leave the pub is utterly wank.

Remember folks, don't let the footy ruin the footy.

I regularly take my daughter to Gateshead games and she enjoys the build up, pre match pub atmosphere and the singing in the ground. I took her along to Sid James to watch our game (in the home end) and now use the experience as a threatened punishment. Horrendous stuff and no idea how anyone can enjoy it.

I wouldn't worry too much. It's the holding company (or whatever) behind the club that goes under. As I said before there will always be sufficient interest in Leicester to support a football club.

The reality is that only 'silly' money gives a chance for a club like Leicester to have a place with the big boys. The way your group thinks would always confine the club to being also rans (Swansea notwithstanding).

It depends how much that interest converts to cash, remember the Lineker Consortium consisted of 40 (mainly local people) and that only just managed to raise circa £6m to save the club previously. Whoever follows the current owners will largely depend on the position of the club at the time they don't wish to be involved anymore.

In terms of Trust involvement, in part it depends on the willingness of the future owners (if it became a local consortium we certainly would be as relationships have continued to be maintained), but also whether the current interest of political parties to ensure fan representation in football club boardrooms actually becomes a reality post any election.

I don't share your enthusiasm for fan representation in the board room. I don't think that it's possible to have a consensus position on the diverse views/ interests of fans on policy issues. However, most fans want a winning football team paid for by owners (and broadcasters )with more money than sense. The Foxes Trust purports to represent the interests of fans, but has no real remit to do that. Still if that makes you happy, good luck to you!

Absolutely. It's kept away games an enjoyable experience.

We are years behind Europe both on and off the pitch, the Premier League seems to be living of it's own hype fueled by money provided by an organisation that employs people specifically to ramp up this hype despite the fact there really is very little to shout about.

I think I can remember a time, albeit when I was very young, when the football seemed to be about the actual football, now it's about a decent pint in the boozer with my mates that gets rudely interrupted when 2.30pm shows on the clock.

I'm not saying I don't enjoy the game altogether, it's more the strange underlying atmosphere in the grounds and the obvious corporate overtones.

I'll still go ****ing batshit when Cambipants smashes one in from the edge of the area this Saturday, at this moment all the other bullshit will be nothing but background noise.

Everything is good

The Fans Consultative Committee have this all in hand. They're sorting out the running list for the pre-match music, and buying a brand new drum

Without these brave people, football would indeed be dying on its arse. God bless them all

Yes it becomes clearer by the week that the Premier League is largely hype not quality/ comparison with other major European leagues....but it is brilliantly marketed. Difficult to say how long marketing will overcome lack of substance.

What a horribly written piece of shite.

Would be ridiculous for Football League to force some of it's largest clubs into non-league football and bankruptcy.
