I have a great seat near the Leicester dugout. . Around me are a bunch of cheerful characters who I am always pleased to see and who I think are pleased to see me. Other people have written about unpleasant people near them but I have been very lucky. My seat and the people around it are one of the minor pleasures of the match day.

However, I have had a letter from the football club saying I have to give up my seat to some corrupt little UEFA scumbag for the Champions League games. I admit that the words "corrupt little UEFA scumbag" do not actually appear in the letter but they are implied.

It would be nice to go up to him (*) and use some Nigel Pearson language but the steward round there is very pleasant and I do not want to make things difficult for him. The letter makes it clear that this is UEFA requirements and not the fault of the club. I am sure that nice Susan Whelan would rather have me sitting there. Certainly Claudio will be at a disadvantage without my calling out advice. . Do you think whoever has my seat will have to queue for the urinal at half time?

Before any pedant corrects me I do realise it will not actually be Herr Blatter but one of his "goodfellas" - one of his "made men".

(*) Some may query mu use of the word "him" claiming it might be a "her". Experience tells me that while a European lady might break a gentleman's heart she would never steal his seat at a football match.

I wondered if the same might happen to my seat, but they haven't said anything yet, so I'm assuming not.

Are there some in the centre of the East Stand as well going for extra commentators/media etc, as well?

Thatcher stole my milk. It hardened me to people taking liberties. I'm betting Pitt the Younger did something to you too, David, so I'm surprised you are taking umbrage.

When they knocked down Filbert Street I purchased 3 plastic seats from the Kop. Would you like to borrow one of those ?
