About a year ago Mrs Mahrez allowed her husband to sign a new contract with Leicester City. Now she had decided he must move. What has happened to change things? The answer is clear. It cannot be coincidence that Mrs Mahrez has decided to move so soon after the closure of Fenwicks.
This is a long term problem for the club. As Mrs Vardy will tell you it is no use having big wages if you do not have anywhere to spend it. Mrs Kante has already swapped the Aylestone Coop for the food hall at Harrods. How long before other Leicester City wives decide to do the same?
Mr Sigurdsson is no doubt a civilised man and will be tempted by The King Richard III Centre, The Little Theatre and The Ocean Fish and Chip Shop. However, Mrs Sigurdsson will want high fashion.
There is an answer. Instead of spending millions on another ugly Algerian striker who can't trap a ball King Power should take over the Fenwicks building and bring the store back to life. If a new revived Fenwicks becomes part of the King Power Empire then Mrs Sigurdsson and other Premier League wives will surely flock to Leicester.
