Waghorn and Vardy? No thanks

Maybe we'll see a 5-man midfield, with Marshall coming back into the side and knocky-wocky playing "in the hole".

Good shout, relieve knonky of protecting the full back responsibilities, wander where he wants in a free role, but still has to close down from the front, think that would work well as the away side

Massive loss really and definitely agree that a front pair of Waghorn and Vardy doesn't sound as threatening as it would with Nugent in place for one of them.

Good shout from Han on 5-man midfield, seems the strongest 11 that way on paper though Marshall has been off his game all season for whatever reason so wouldn't be surprised if Pearson gave Futacs a start in one of the 2 upcoming games.

Should hopefully still have enough to beat Wednesday though as they have just lost one of their top players too and they have been pretty poor up until now.

If Konchesky's back, maybe he'll move Schlupperman up front?

Think Vardy and Waghorn is more likely though

Nugent played well against Ipswich but has looked as guilty of missing chances as Waghorn lately. Whilst I'm sure we'll miss him, I doubt it will be as much as some seem to be suggesting for a few games. I guess we'll never know.

We're fecked

Yes we have no sort of credible attack without Nugent. This has been the problem waiting to happen all season.

You can't expect home teams to provide the sloppy stuff provided by Ipswich.

It's a real shame because this was a good chance to build on a result.

Still is, at least until the game is played.

Edit; Oh, I ignored that we're fecked

Might as well not even bother turning up eh?

Its not really like that is it?

The reality is that it doesn't require too much working out to notice that Nugent is our main attacking threat. With him we might reasonably have expected as many as four points from the next two games; without him we might expect about two points.

Of course you can never tell and that's one of the fascinations of the game - but the management would have factored into their planning that neither Nugent nor anyone else is likely to play every game in a season and I just don't think that they've got it quite right in terms of options. Personally i would have preferred to keep Beckford and loan out Waghorn - whose goals to chances ratio must be off the map.
Anyway we won't have to wait long to find out.

ok weve lost the services of Nugent for the Wednesday game but they have lost OGrady (thro injury) and Berkley (returned to Everton), imo they will be effected the most

Oh well. There's a new chance to be fecked on Tuesday.

I'm sure I'm not alone in praying for -1pts just so we can prove to Pea Son he has no idea about factoring stuff into his planning.

I got this quite wrong and hopefully I will continue to get it wrong on Tuesday against Leeds.

To be honest I don't make the effort to attend that many games these days and although not actually watching matches doesn't appear to affect the ability of others to pronounce on all things LCFC, I accept that my opinions are not as valid as those who do turn up, week in, week out.

For the little it's worth i still think that we are a striker light - but Pearson is very competent at this level and may well know what he is doing.

This is what I like to do. I like to read what people who have been to the games think and I only tend to post opinions on matches and tactics when I have actually been to one. That way I won't say something that in reality I'm not qualified to comment on.

Apologies for abbreviating your post Redditch, but it was easier for me to show which bit I was talking about.
