Ah damn it.

Good performance for the most part.

I wouldn't say we're unlucky to lose because we didn't have enough final product in front of goal, but we played well and could've got something.

I think with Vardy in, we would've got at least a point from that.

Happy enough with the performance though.

Wish it wasn't a ****ing international break now!

We were excellent in the second half but couldn't quite get the break through.

Second half we were very good - and dangerous - for quite a while, but tentative defending cost us two goals. I'm going to take the positives from this one as Liverpool are a pretty good side.

Probably our best performance with the ball. Still not organized enough without.

We HAVE to sort out these slow starts.

And we HAVE to stop showing these top six sides so much respect.

And set pieces.

The frustrating parts of Puels setup are still there. However, the football is getting better, and hopefully once Vardy is back we can start kicking on.

Lots of positives but why did we take off Maddison and bring on Amartey?

So, is it true that we played well against Man United and Liverpool and lost both. Played poorly against Wolves and Southampton, winning both?

I thought Ghezzel looked handy too but not sure we can play him and Ricardo together in games we need to be solid in.

We have been allowed to play puels preferred style against the big clubs is what I’d suggest.

Lots of thoughts about that game but I will only post one:

Nempalys Mendy is fantastic.

Mendy AND Ndidi were both excellent I thought.

Excited to see Vardy back in the line-up and Gray, Maddison and Ghezzal behind.

Just.........frustrating.

When we were brave enough to press them, they made errors. Not just for the goal, but a few occasions in the first half too.

We weren’t quite confident enough to let loose and really go at them. Yes, after the first 15 mins, we played reasonably (without creating too much), but there was more available there, if we’d really wanted to go for it.

Can someone remind the human hand break he can run with the ball down the left wing and he doesn’t HAVE to check back and float one onto the defenders head all the time

Yeah, he even took a yellow for the team

Good job he did, 'cos that was 3-1

We created precisely nothing throughout the game, and only scored because of a typical Liverpool goalkeeping comedy spectacular

We piss around with the truly hopeless Gray up front, whilst two busy-as-anythng strikers sit on the bench twiddling their feckin thumbs . When we finally bring one on (and score straight away) we fart about with the set up and stick our most creative player out wide (where he looked totally lost) and then take him off altogether to brng Amartey on FFS. No wonder the last fifteen mnutes were total crap. What a set of utterly stupid decisions from the clown prince

On the upside, Mendy and N'D'id'i were simply fabulous in the middle of the park, Maddison useful in front of them, Albrighton and 'new Mahrez' very good indeed. What a crying shame they didn't have a forward on the pitch to play with.

Chilwell was outstanding coming forward - what a wing back he would make. Pity we'll never see it.

Maguire did well, covering constantly for the now seriously struggling Morgan next to him, but as a collective defensive unit we are bobbins. Two complete defensive howlers, not to mention that shower in the first three minutes, and one or two others. It's very, very poor

You know what - I think we have some very good players here at the moment. Led and managed correctly we could be top six. We really, really could.

Won't happen with this man in charge.

Puel picked up on that post match saying some players weren’t doing as they were told and being brave on the ball

It was the same as at Old Trafford. We played nice football for most of the game but blew it with silly mistakes and a lack of penetration when it mattered.

Things I like: Our marauding full backs. Love watching them both with the ball at their feet. Our two central midfielders, both excellent at sticking their foot in and competing. Mendy is a delight to watch. Yet again, he was just as good today as you know who. Ghezzal - I thought he'd be shit but he's certainly not. Very capable, good technique and not a soft touch. I like him.

Things I don't like: Stupid play from Maguire in two dangerous attacking positions standing offside. Idiotic. My brain cannot decide whether Maddison is great or flattering to deceive. If he stops that fecking stupid little five yard ball into the striker which the striker cannot do anything with, I'll warm to him more. He must have done it to Gray ten times today and it was never going to work. Albrighton did a shift but he doesn't have a role in the team playing this way. He cannot cross the ball as there is usually nobody there any more. I feel the same about Okazaki - I don't see the point of him now. He can't contribute to what we're trying to do.

You can tell that Gray doesn't like playing up front. He just isn't a striker. However, I think Puel is trying to do a Wenger with Henry and prove what a genius he is. He's wrong and the sooner he gets that, the better for all concerned. I'm not saying Iheanacho has earned a place, but at least he knows how to play up front.

Liverpool were pretty poor for them. Just like they've been in recent games. We are a work in progress though and also easy to play against by anyone any good. Frustrating.
