A lot of talk about James. He is ok in the right game, was excellent at Chelsea. Generally a James- Ndidi partnership doesn’t work, in fact I haven’t seen any criticism of Ndidi and I thought he was pish yesterday, including losing the ball for their goal. Wes was also in no mans land.

Truly awful performance, lacked intensity, quality and any cohesion. Have to say I feared the worst as soon as I saw the team sheet. I have no issue with playing a possession based game, however if that is how we are going to play, then for crying out load please make sure you include Iborra and Silva in the team.
The team selection really did beggar belief, Morgan straight back in despite the good performances of Dragovic, Amartey has been discarded despite a decent run of games at right back, James is too slow and cumbersome to be effective as a regular starter at premier league level, the continued selection of Chilwell and Gray despite brainless performances week in and week out.
This is the team I would like to see for the next few weeks -

Imo Ndidi is being slightly over hyped by many.
I find him too negative and often makes very silly mistakes that cause us issues.
The partnership of him and James is so mind numbingly boring that it's hard to watch.
Constantly standing next to each other and usually this is barely any further up the pitch than the defenders.
Iborra pissed it for me, he was hauled from the team as he was finding his feet.

I think Ndidi has too much work to do when he's alongside any of his other central midfielders. None of them do enough grafting.
Iborra was dropped because he was clearly knackered. He's used to a winter break and a lot less football I guess. But that was several weeks ago and he's hardly played so surely he's okay again now . . .
The answer (as mentioned above) is a three man midfield, comprising of Ndidi, Iborra and Silva.
I'd also go with Mahrez slightly behind Vardy, Chilwell and Albrighton as wing backs and bring in Dragovic too.

Our only approach to them is to put our most likely player to win the ball in the air (Maguire) very deep at the back post and almost always the ball never gets that far.
We have the obligatory Vardy run across the near post, Morgan just grapples with someone and the rest might as well not be there.
I thought that most of the deliveries yesterday were excellent. Mahrez and Albrighton put decent balls in but there is really no point whatsoever if we're completely predictable and lacking an attacking threat.

No, I think overall suggests an over arching set of goals, let’s say attacking, defending, passing, tackling, movement off the ball, and corners.
We had about 10 yesterday and can’t rember a threat on goal?

We have tried this formation a couple of times last season, and against Man City this season - all with woeful results. Despite it working well for us in the great escape.
Unfortunately our players don’t seem capable of adapting to anything nowadays other than 4-4-2 or a variant of it (4-2-3-1, 4-4-1-1).

You're right that we tried a poor variation of it unsuccessfully against Man City. However, our dismal performance that day was mainly after we abandoned it after about 30 mins.
I think this suits more of our players than the formation usually play and is worth trying for a few matches:

Puel was brought in to avoid relegation. He's more or less done that. Job done.
In spite of wasting millions the club only possesses one quality striker. The club also has just one creative player who thinks he is - and he's probably right - too good for the club. Fortunately there are another 13 clubs who are also very ordinary.
Puel's judgement appears patchy but he matches the overall quality of his squad. To move the club forward would require a much higher calibre of manager and massive and wise investment. Not easy.

Casual. That was our attitude yesterday. Not just the players but the fans as well.
The King Power stadium these days is totally devoid of passion and atmosphere.
The clappers, which were THE major factor in us winning the premier league, are just ignored by the overwhelming majority who just sit there like so many stuffed shirts.
No one even moans at or shouts encouragement to the players.
Where are the chants? Where is the drummer we used to have? Where the **** is the passion. It's just NAAFI.
No Ambition And ****all Interest.
We will be surprised how easily we could finish in the bottom three at this rate.
