I will exercise my right to express my views on the manager on here.

I will also back the team in the stadium until I can barely speak, just like I always do.

I won't change my views on the manager just because somebody tells me I should.

The manager isn't good enough and everyone who makes decisions that affect the footballing side of things above him have all ****ed up massively for a while now.

The recruitment, the failed recruitment, the contracts, the rewards, the pathetic boys club we are running, someone above Shakey is responsible for all of it and they need to either leave or be made to leave.

We've been left with a football club that is treading water, rudderless and heading in no particular direction.

Someone has taken their overpaid eye of the ****ing game.
So, it really is just like brexit

Yes, just like the leavers in Brexit

I don't particularly enjoy mixing football with politics, especially in the current days of non politicians and political parties with non beliefs, however there is a similarity between both of those things and our manager and club at the moment, so fair play.

As for life being more important than football, well obviously, however I actually prefer taking my frustrations out on such a trivial thing as football rather than the more serious aspects of my life, it seems to make sense.

He's got a massive run of games now:

Bournemouth
Stoke
West Brom
Swansea
Leeds
Everton

Best sort yourself out Creggers. We cock that run of games up and he will be gone and we might be too.

Yep. We should have a few more points IMO. Tactically we are lacking.

Confidence is a funny thing. Start looking over your shoulder and it can go to shit and you will find yourself in serious trouble. I know they say don't look at the league table before December, but it is hard not to. If we don't start winning we are going to be right in the shit.

Yep more Arsenal away than Man U or Chelsea, I'm more annoyed than anything tonight at a chance missed.

Big games coming up though to get the season back to an even keel. In 2-3 games time we'll certainly know what kind of season we face.
I think we know.

Liverpool scored early and were soon 2-0 up. This put Mr Klopp in a good mood; it did not do the same for me. We fought back and at 2-1 I thought we were the more likely to score. Their third goal was a heartbreaker. Again we fought back and one reason I do not expect us to be in relegation trouble is that we do have battlers in the team.

At the moment we are not playing well enough in midfield. Either King or Ndidi need to up their game or be replaced.

As somebody who dislikes baseball caps I raised the question on a previous thread of whether if Mr Choudhury wore baseball caps it would be forward or backward. Yesterday he did not wear a baseball cap at all; so I approve. I do not wear hats myself but do feel it would be aesthetically pleasing if the club had a rule that young players in the stand all wore bowler hats.

As somebody with a weakness for trivia I have two new questions.
Why has the Birch been relegated to the stands?
Mike Stowell has the communications link to the stands that Mr Kevin Phillips used to have. Unlike Mr Phillips he has learned how to turn it on. But who in the stands is sending the messages in the Steve Walsh role?

Credit to Leonardo Ulloa who was very gracious and patient with youngsters wanting selfies.

One thing that really annoyed me watching the match was the complete lack of responsibility King, and other players but mainly King, showed when we had a throw in. He would almost intentionally move to a position where he was marked, leaving us with one solitary option of throwing it up the line. This also was apparent in the latter stages of Ranieri's charge. It indicates to me at least that King is not confident enough to receive the ball and then play a pass. It's not a case of going missing, it's more that he is never there from the beginning. Drinkwater would at least offer himself as an option. I think we are stuffed in midfield which, unfortunately, means we'll be playing scrappy football long into the season, at least until Silva gets the go ahead, if that actually ever happens. I would suggest we play Iborra now rather than later as I presume he has the balls to play football rather than hide away behind opposition when we are in possession.

By the way, you can get 22/1 on relegation at the moment. Maybe worth a punt.

(Apologies, I know that only arseholes do that, and I was one of these days arseholes when we dropped into tier three. Trust me, any financial gain did not make me feel any better in the slightest! Again, apologies for this act of poor judgement.)

Playing Iborra now would be a bit silly. He'd be running around all on his own. Oh, hang on...

And players being marked? Heavens above! Whatever next? ;) That ball from King to Vardy for the penalty though, it was a peach no?

shhhhhh, you're not supposed to admit Andy King is playing well as he doesn't go around flying into tackles he knows he's not gonna win to show he has PASSHUN

As soon as we lost Kante it was plainly obvious we needed to find a different way of playing, however we continued to adopt a formation and style of play that in particular the top teams have managed to suss and combat, we were turned over by all the big clubs last season using this system, to then play 4 of these in the opening 6 games and continue to use the same tired formation and outdated tactics is in my opinion rank bad stupidity. Surely by now somebody has the gumption to utilise 3 at the back or even play 4-3-3 but something that offers more protection in midfield. No point bringing in a player like Iborra and trying to turn him into a cart horse that only ever operates in a 2.

I am dismayed that Shakey has bought no new ideas to the table and is just rehashing tired and outdated style of play that bought success a couple of years ago, our inability and lack of quality and composure in possession of the ball is woeful and embarrassing, we look desperately short of a plan b or c, we are so one dimensional. I really fear for us if we continue to adopt these tactics for every single game regardless of the opposition or situation.

Having watched MOTD, their 3rd goal was piss poor defending, in particular Wilf.
He didn't make an attempt to get back.
Disappointing as they were there for the taking

I appreciate what people are saying, with regards to Maguire and the third goal, but, to me, N'didi was more culpable. He was the one playing passes with Maguire and yet, when we lost the ball, he just watched their players run past him and didn't chase back. I said that immediately to my dad and, lo and behold, they went and scored. Schmeichel ripped into him for it and rightly so.
