If anyone thinks we’re going to play a strong team for this, you’re living in cloud cuckoo land. I honestly can’t remember the last time we put out a strong team for a league cup match.

The club would much rather focus on the league as a couple of places higher is worth more financially than a cup run.

We were mid table last December, had Man City at home in the quarters and put a weakened team out. It’ll be the same against Southampton, and the same against Man City if we get there.
