Schmeichel (c), Simpson, Dragović, Maguire, Fuchs, Ndidi, Silva, Albrighton, Diabaté, Iheanacho, Vardy.
Subs: Hamer, Chilwell, Benalouane, James, Iborra, Gray, Okazaki.
Amartey? Where he go? Rested??
We look more 'robust' (Fuchs over Chilwell, Simpson back) so I'm guessing Amartey's absence is tactical
Well, no start for Okazaki, but at least Puel recognises that Fuchs is still the better defender.
From the pre-match thread
“I’d start Simpson, Fuchs, Silva, Diabate, Ihenacho in place of Amartey, Fuchs, James, Gray, Okazaki.”
Great minds think alike, well done Claude
Harsh on Amartey
I like it!
Yep. Other than Amartey for Simpson, that's exactly what I had. Pace, power and a stronger defence. I like that lineup a lot.
So he gives 2 Fuchs as well then
4-4-2 I reckon - get in to em
I like the lineup. Feel it has a good balance to it.
Glad to see Silva starting.
Nacho man to score today.
Feeling optimistic about this one. Time to go out and prove what we can do without Riyad and that we're no one man team. Looking at some of the quality we've got in that line up makes me feel angry about how disrespectful Mahrez has been. Silva, Vardy, Maguire, Schmeichel, Ndidi...
**** Mahrez. Play hard ball on the mardy bastard until Man City or whoever else coughs up and then try and bring in Ben Arfa - getting on a bit but would be an ideal short term replacement IMO.
Funny to think only five of this starting line up, and only two + Hamer on the bench, were part of the title winning season. We’re definitely seeing a transition happening.
Really hope Iheanacho takes his chance.
Eventful start then.....
All Leicester so far, 75% possession. No chances created though.
U wot m8?
