Have tried in both Firefox and Chrome - today, when I click the title of a thread to go to the newest post, it is taking me to halfway through said post. It almost appears as though the anchor tag has shifted from the top of the thread to further down.

I have used Firebug to find the anchor tag and it appears to be on the post number which would seem right, unless there is an errant one with the same name/id further down?

I know it seems trivial, but it is really irritating!

I've just tried it in Chrome and Firefox and it's working fine for me.

Is it broken for anyone else?

Working properly for me in Chrome.

Some threads in Tapatalk haven't worked properly.

Hasn't taken me to the last read a couple of times in Firefox.

I am finding this happening now as well. Using Firefox at work and it didn't happen earlier using Firefox from home.

At least it's not just me. Still happening after clearing the cache etc, not that I expected it to much good.

Happening at home now too.

Bet this sort of thing wouldn't happen on the FT site :icon_lol:

I've had it happen a couple of times when I've tested it using Firefox, but no problem at all using Chrome.

I think it's caused by a slow loading javascript that comes from an external source.

The last time something similar happened it was related to the Yahoo YUI library. It was being fetched from Google, so I changed it to tell it to get it from Yahoo instead and that fixed the problem. I've just changed it back to Google again to see if that makes any difference.

I'm not having it in Chrome now which is odd. There is also the chance that I may have imagined it in Chrome as I had had a few glasses of wine.

Still happening.

It's really spoiling my enjoyment of this fine site TBH :icon_sad:

I've removed some javascript that may have been causing the problem, can you let me know if it's still happening.

No - spion is still here.

Fixed this end, it appears.

It seems to have been the Facebook "like" button that was causing the problem - but only in Firefox, because of the way it renders pages.

I think the reason some people were affected more than others is due to the speed of their connection to Facebook. It was just causing the occasional second or two delay to the page for me when I was testing it, but clearly it's been much worse than that for some people.
