No Musa then.

That's an odd one.

Usually when a transfer happens the clubs synchronise their announcements.
But this was announced at around 1AM UK time, 3AM in Saudi Arabia. They've been training in Switzerland, where it was 2AM.

Who would announce a transfer in the early hours of the morning?

There's nothing on Musa's Twitter or Instagram accounts, nothing on the Saudi club's Facebook, and their Website seems to be just one page with just their club crest on it.

My guess is that the paperwork wasn't done until late last night, Leicester will announce it first thing in the morning, and the Saudi club wanted to get in first.

But Twitter accounts can be hacked, so we won't turn this into a confirmed transfer thread until someone from LCFC tells us about it.

Very strange timing. See enough social media material to suggest it’s legit. The video is pretty elaborate. But as you say the timing and presentation is bizarre.

One less attacking option. Bet we got some good money though.

if Musa and Slimani go we will really only have Iheanacho available as a striker for the opening game of the season and only 2 fit senior strikers for the first team squad (assuming Ulloa is on the way out too).
We desparately need to get a viable big money deal in for a forward and winger.
also we need to keep Elder, Simpson and Darnell Johnson.

Are you forgetting Shinji?

Suggestions on Twitter that the fee is £14.8m with clauses that could take it to £27m.

Now let's get some players in we need.

Why would we make that mistake again?

Also why would any striker come here when they are guaranteed to sit on the bench regardless?

RIP Musa. That landing on their stadium can't have ended well

I'm not convinced that landed safely. Hopefully they already got the money sorted.

17.5 million..... my god, we've robbed them....

Pity

His performances in the World Cup suggested he was a million miles ahead of Gray and Diabate, and in a completely different universe to Slimani and Ulloa

Ultimately he's been complete shite, but potentially less shite than the duffers we are left with

I still think he's a very good player if played correctly.

Was never going to happen here.

I read somewhere that it was £25m with add-ons.

I agree with the comments that Musa could've been a good player, and I'd rather have kept him than Ulloa, Slimani etc.

But lets not lose sight of the fact that he's signed for a team in Saudi Arabia...

So have we actually made more money than we’ve spent this summer? By some margin.

What happened to the ambition?

Yep - we're actually turning a profit on our transfer dealings

The whole place stinks like the shit on the back seat of Top's car

We'll start the season playing Chilwell, Morgan, Benalouane, Diabate and Gray

It's bedwetting to mention the fact, apparently, amongst the clever people
