as an outsider kind of name what about Patrick Vieira, apparently very highly rated within football and made it know he feels ready for a job in Europe and being linked to the Arsenal job for what that's worth

I could see the Thais running the rule over the batch of World Cup coaches, and hiring one whose team shines in Russia. Roberto Martinez for example.

    My opinion of Dyche:
Great manager for Burnley. Ideal bloke for that job. I do like his ways BUT if he came here I think it would take a while to get up to speed. We'd all hate him before he came good.

Will Puel ever come good? I don't think we'll find out.

I have no earthly idea how Brendan Rodgers gets a mention, honestly. Watford, not bad. Reading, awful. Swansea, very good. Only thing of actual note he’s ever done in his managerial career. But then Liverpool, nothing. Since when he’s spent the last two years out of football collecting an infinite number of worthless shiny pots in Scotland.

Why in the world would anyone want him?

No other Liverpool manager has got as close to the Premier League title as him.

I think we should move forward properly and find a manager that's actually won it........oh wait

I think they might be well advised to avoid appointing ex- Southampton managers who have a proven track record of boring fans into giving up watching football.

If we do change management it needs to be quick, this is a very important summer for us. We need a clear transfer policy so a manager needs to be in place early to identify targets and potential want away players will be more likely to go if they don't know who will be in charge.

But I thought we wanted them all to go, as the title winning legends are now all poisonous shit-stirring manager sacking bastards whose skills have been found out , and all the new signings are all shit (as well as being poisonous etc. etc.)

So best leaving the new appointment 'til about August

That’s true, good point. Then they had a massive shit the following season, and he’s been on holiday watching park football ever since.

Funny you should say that, I thought the same when I read he'd left Liverpool.

    This is also true.

Their biggest problem was that they sold Suarez and replaced him with a load of shit. I doubt Rodgers had too much say in the signings there.

And yes you can’t judge his performance at Celtic because even my grandmother could win the SPL with Celtic, and she’s dead.

Posted in the Puel out thread but probably more appropriate to be here.

I wonder how many ‘good’ managers will look at us and think 'great opportunity'.

How many will look at the playing squad and think there is real quality to inherit.

How many will look at the attitude of the squad and think there is a real desire to perform week in week out.

How many will look at the desire of the squad to improve and develop.

Whilst I recognise we have some real advantages as well, the above will need sorting out once and forever this summer if we are to move on and look forward to the future with optimism.

sent my CV in can't be as bad as some on the merry go round list it is hard, not too many managers worth hiring out there.

I feel sorry for Appleton although if you saw the look on his face when the players went past him on Saturday there would be a few shitting it.
