In the words of the great Nigel Pearson, anyone still certain "Spurs won't win all their games" is an ostrich and is burying themselves in the sand. There's a very, very good chance they will. Chelsea is the only challenge they have left and they should still be clear favourites for that one right now. They'll wipe the floor with Southampton, West Brom and Newcastle the way they are playing.

Not saying that doesn't mean we can't still do it, but there's a very good chance we'll need 8 points from these fixtures and that is far from an easy task, especially without our talisman who dictates our style of play. Spurs are very much in this and it will be very close between the two of us.

We can't afford not to go all out for those 8 points in the final games. Goal difference could be killer for us. Really hope it doesn't come down to that.

No.

Spurs are beating teams 3-0 pretty much every week these days and look good value for it too, whereas we are unknown quantity without Vardy and so much of our style of play is built round him and he's the talisman of our side.

I wouldn't bricking it if we still had all our key players ready, but missing Vardy for a couple of games - especially ManUtd away who are a possession based side and we'll be losing our main counter-attacking outlet - is quite a daunting prospect. Not saying we won't get through it, but I'm certainly fearful of how we'll get on without him.

Prof, you've articulated my current state of mind very well.

I can't see why it's difficult to imagine Spurs dropping points. Pretty sure they did so 3 games back. Just before the two games prior to them they got 1 point from 2. We drew one match for feck sake...in unusual circumstances (I hope it remains unusual).

Where has anyone said it's difficult to imagine Spurs dropping points? It's not difficult to imagine either Leicester or Spurs dropping points in any games. I haven't seen anyone say Spurs absolutely won't drop points, they're just saying that people who are saying they absolutely will are deluded as there's a good chance they could easily win all their games.

We were all responding to Camberwell saying Spurs "will" drop points.

Jesus ****ing christ have a bit of faith.

Again. I haven't seen anyone say we're doomed or even that we're not favourites, just that people thinking we've got this won and Spurs aren't in this are burying their heads in the sand a little. It's going to be a close title race and either side could easily win it as far as I'm concerned. I haven't lost faith, I still think we could do it, but it's certainly a long long way from certain and we're a long way from "overwhelming favourites" right now, I'd still make us slight favourites, but not by much.

More aimed at the media really and the general lack of confidence that's followed. There's a lot of negativity about our blown chances, seems to have knocked a lot of people's confidence too. Weve got a nice cushion and are in a fantastic position regardless of the next 4 games. We should be enjoying it. I was told this morning at work by a few people that we'd blown it, the same ****ers who said we got a valuable point yesterday morning.

My post wasn't aimed at anyone in particular Prof.

We are top and 5 points clear and are in the most amazing position ever.

I would prefer to believe we can do it rather than we may not.

You and me both there squire. Cuddle?

Five points clear with four to play? I'd say that makes us very heavy favourites indeed. Yes, Spurs may win all four remaining games. They're a good side. There's a bloody good chance they won't though. They're not invincible, however good their form us.

Anyway, I'm backing us to do our bit regardless of what they do. But I'm pretty sure we won't need all eight points. There does seem to have been a bit of panic set in which I don't really get. Our position is very strong and if it wasn't us occupying it we'd all be saying it's done. How often have leads like this been overturned with four games to go? Not very.

The media need to tell everybody how tight the race is to maintain some interest. It isn't really tight at all though. If we lose it now it will be because we collapse. If we collapse now we don't deserve it anyway.

I am delighted there is silence from the club. Superb management.

He had some faith, didn't end well for him though.
Not that badly. Not as bad as everytime George Michael visits a public toilet. Unless the faith he had was that of being arrested?

In other news: Faith Brown is still alive. Yes, I was surprised too.

Second place guaranteed.
Safety assured.
Champions League qualification.
Great, great season.
