That's exactly why we should dispose of him in the summer. It's either that or sack him in October (when he inevitably disappoints) which will automatically ensure another disjointed and wasted season.

I'm bored out of my ****ing mind at games.

What's the incentive to fork out another £500 to watch the most pointless, mind numbing bollocks over course of an entire season?

As a season ticket holder I don't even look forward to games now, I'd just rather stay in the pub or do something actually enjoyable.

Our current approach is killing any enthusiasm the crowd have left.

You have wanted a change in manager as soon as Puel was announced.
You've never given him a chance, and you probably never will.

I thought appointing him was very strange and underwhelming. I didn't feel quite the same about appointing Ranieri but that experience led me to reserve judgement and give the guy a chance.

His first couple of months were good. He inherited a team that had been positively wound up either by the departure of Shakespeare or the short tenure of Appleton. He rode that positive impetus well for a while.

However, the last few months have been very poor. Our performances and results from mid December are pretty much relegation level.

If there was any sign that this 'dip' was some short term pain for long term gain, I'd be relatively fine with it. But everything I see shows us to be getting worse overall. He's also making baffling decisions. He's sending his team out without any noticeable tactical plan and then failing to adjust to obvious issues during games.

If he wants to play a progressive, possession based game, why doesn't he pick a team that suits it? For example, instead of picking Dragovic to pass the ball from the back, he drops him for Morgan who cannot pass from the back.

He was forced into selecting Amartey who over a few games demonstrated that he was developing well and could do the role as he wanted it done. Then as soon as Simpson (who cannot do it) was fit, he was moved back in. Now we see Simpson struggle and routinely get withdrawn from matches.

Ultimately, I have loads of such reasons why I've come to the conclusion that he's no good. It wasn't a decision I came to without giving him a chance and it is a decision I'd be delighted to change if he proved me wrong. However, it is pretty bleeding obvious at the moment that he hasn't the first clue what he's doing and the players and the club are drifting slowly backwards.

We also do have some very useful evidence in his performance as manager of Southampton last season. There he had a preseason and was able to make squad changes. There he had a full season to show his skills. There he also progressively made everything worse until the point that the ownership, players and fans were all unanimously thrilled to see the back of him.

Sorry, one more example. What the feck has he done with Okazaki?

He's a shadow of his former self. Bringing him into a game is almost always the wrong tactic. He's a starter or nothing. He's also changed his role so that he is conserving energy more when on the pitch. It's taken so much away from his game.

He's another one that looks completely lost over recent months.

We're in for a difficult time. It seems likely that Puel will be funded to bring in players who suit his mind dumbing style of football. This will likely piss off the supporters who haven't already been pissed off. By October the owners will have accepted that Puel is the disaster that many of us already fear. Next season will then be already in jeopardy. Like as not a new manager will then be brought in who wants different players to play a different style.

At the minute we're so utterly negative. Passing along the back four until we realise there's nothing on , thus playing it through the back four again out to the other flank - repeat ad infinitum until one of the full backs gets frustrated and attempts a punt down one of the wings often gifting possession away. It's ****ing garbage. We've gone from watching a team that you used to be so proud of where every player in the squad would bust their asses game in game out to this, where we barely even show up for most of the game. The defence is leaking some pretty poor goals and we rarely create that many chances..

If we're going to try and become a possession based side can we please remember to involve the rest of the bastard team.. playing it through the middle every now and then to mix things up a bit would make a nice change.

As much as I'm frustrated at how negative and dull we've become under Puel, we're really not in that bad a shape when you look at the league table and I think it'd be madness to sack him anytime soon. You only need to look at Southampton to see that it could well get a whole lot worse if we sack him. We're safe this season, he should at least get the summer and a few months into next season and just see where we're at from there. Let's bare in mind that this is still largely not his squad but I don't think the playing style he has introduced has helped matters.

sounds familiar, certain players trying to force out another manager perhaps as they know their days are numbered if he stays and don't want to lose a cushy gig?

this could well be a problem with Puel but we saw it before under Claudio so I'm less inclined to give players the benefit of the doubt

I personally want to be entertained; goals, drama, excitement. Nothing and I mean NOTHING will top what we experienced two years ago but for ****s sake, not winning a home game in nearly three months and playing horribly dull football is unacceptable. Just entertain us please!

More than a manager, I think it starts with a proper DoF, who sets an identity for the club and takes the recruitment of all personnel from their. We had a reputation as a counter attacking, dogged team that put hard work first and we’ve pissed it away in a blind panic of getting relegated that was never really that big a threat.
