So how come we were told it was only £4 Million they had to spend on wages/transfer fees etc?

That came from the press not the club though didn't it????

The 10mil mace is talking about probably includes every retained players wages as well... meaning we would only have about 1 or 2million to spend.

Knowing how he twists the facts i would not be suprised at all by this. In fact, thinking about it i think i'm probably correct!!!! woo hoo

Actually, I think you're right.

I heard our wage bill should be around 9-10 Million for next season, so it stands to reason. But even so, the way he conveyed that information made us all believe that we had that much to spend!!!

Also says 45% of this 9.5mill will be made of contracts signed uder PT/Elsom so im guessing elliot, walker etc, really are earning alot

Cock... Paul Mace i mean. He don't half twist things. How many people will rush off and renew tickets cus they think we have loads to spend!!

He's a bit of a knobhead he is. Did he answer one question honestly without twisting it all night. He talks to everyone like we know nothing, and he tells us a load of bollocks that some of these people are going to end up believing. Patronising. Whats he look like? I imagine him to have one of them cheesy faces you just want to punch now.

oh, is he the one that did that big press conference after L.A. Manga

Elliott - 32k a week
Scowcroft/Benjamin/Walker - 15K plus a week

They all have another year left on their contracts.

The big nosed tosser can f'off for all i care... I want people at Leicester who want to play for this club. Not use it as a stepping stone.

And Micky said that Dickov hasn't started the progress of talks yet.

Scimeca can f*ck off anyway - He clearly hasn't got any loyalty.

Sounds about right, thats about £4mill a year, and apart from walker, none of them deserve that kind of money these days

Apart from the top 4/5 clubs in the Premiership, no one pays their players 32k a week. Really puts in to perspective how incompetent Taylor and Elsom were. Bunch of clueless wankers.

I take it that the email from jeoff is from webbo about seaso ticket prices!!

Yes.

Last week I sent a short and to the point email because I knew that was the way to get it read out. It worked, but Nev didn't believe the point I made.

So this week I sent a long email detailing all the things the club have done, in particular the way they've lied to us, and the way the value of the season ticket has been eroded.

I expected someone at the BBC to be able to use this to question Macey to get a proper answer. But unfortunately Nev is a clown, so he didn't ask the right questions, and he let Macey get away with answering a question that I wasn't even asking.

In answer to my email Macey said that season ticket prices are the same as last year. That's correct, I didn't argue with that. The point I was making is that prices haven't been 'frozen for three years', which is what the club have claimed, prices went up last summer. And ifven if prices had been frozen for three years, they've taken so much out of the season ticket you can't compare the 2002 season ticket with the 2004 version.

Well played Webby, the first steps towards the board IMO

i know how you feel webbo, nev wasnt very taxing on macey was he

I think Nev dropped his glasses whilst talking to Macey so he couldn't concentrate properly.

Because Mace probably only agreed to be on the phone in if Nev went easy on him.

Mace probably set the questions.

Probably. It's obvious that Mace will make it as easy as possible for himself. So, what the producers of the show will do is attempt to filter out the most difficult or akward questions for him to get an easy ride. Although, some callers phoned in and raised the issue of single match day tickets being so expensive, and Mace didn't address the question properley. He just referred to the fact that the club are 'likely' not to have as many 'A' grade games as in the Premiership, and therefore prices will be generally cheaper.

Although, prices for Division 1 games will be over £30 next season in general, which is far too expensive for that level of football. The club think they're doing us a favour by freezing the prices - They're not. One called pointed out the example that Burnley only charge about £20 for match day tickets, and Nev attempted to defend Mace by saying that the level of facilities at the Walkers Stadium was much better in comparison to Burnley's. It's no excuse, it is still the same level of football.

Mace seemed to use a lot of vague words like a politician. What's wrong with Burnley's facilities anyway?

Compared to our last division one season match ticket prices are around 65% higher. That's based on the number of each category the club has already said they're anticipating for the season.

When the new stadium was being planned they said the increased capacity would allow the club to keep prices down.

But now we're int he stadium they're using the excuse of better facilities to put prices up.

Mace definitely spoke like a politician, avoiding giving direct answers, often patronising people who criticise the club. At one point he referred to a fan criticising the club by saying: ''He obviously has his own agenda'' in an extremely patronising way.

As for Burnley, it is a shit hole.
