Dear Khun Vichai,

You have been our chairman, our owner, our mysterious friend and the absolute heartbeat of Leicester City Football Club for what seems like forever.

I'm not sure saying "Thank You" goes anywhere near to describing the gratitude I personally feel towards you, however it is the best I can do so I must say it.

Thank You Sir, Thank You so much for everything.
You've impacted mine and many other's lives in unimaginable ways and this will never be forgotten. This is the bluest of all days.

Your legacy will be told in tales around the world and for generations and generations. You are truly immortal and will live forever.

Words can't express much more from me but the tears streaming probably do. One thing I do know is that I miss you already.

I had the pleasure of meeting him, albeit quite briefly, once and he was charming. I've been down at the stadium today and the sight of all those flags and scarves from numerous clubs ( including all our local rivals) is quite overwhelming.
Thank you Vichai for all you did. This may have started as a business deal but you took us into your heart and it was reciprocated, and it became so much more than that. We certainly lucked out with our foreign owner.
My thoughts are also with the families and friends of the other 4 people who died.

I’m not quite sure what else to add. I never thought I’d be quite this upset about the loss of an owner. A player, yes. A manager, yes. But an owner?

The thing is that Vichai was more than just the owner of our club. Although I never met him, he seemed the most generous, down to earth, honest bloke you could ever wish to meet. He gave me and many others so many special memories that we’ll never ever forget. Not only that, but he gave hope to all those millions of fans across the world who don’t support the “big clubs”, that one day they might be lucky enough to have an owner like him who could make what might seem impossible, possible.

Rest in peace Vichai, you wonderful man.

Last season I sat just a few rows behind him at West Ham. I was too shy to go and say hello but many fans did and he took time to take pictures, shake hands and speak with people (even some who returned two or three times for 'just one more picture'). He appeared every bit the true gentleman that we had, from a distance, come to know. So much that it doesn't feel like a distance. It feels like a terrible, painful, tragic loss of someone close. A kind, generous, intelligent man.

My thoughts are with Top and the rest of the Srivaddhanaprabha family. And with the families of the other four people who died. RIP.
