norwich have reportedly placed a bid for elvis hammond and ed de goey. Daryl Sutch in sensational homecoming!

Leicester City are set to unveil Gudjon Thordarson as the new manager and are expected to welcome local property tycoon David Wilson onto the board. Wilson is expected to back Thordarson with cash to save City from the drop and turn them into a Championship force for next season - with the aim of doing a 'Wigan' once they reach the Premiership. Thordarson is also expected to line up a swoop on Notts County for striker Eugene Dadi with Elvis Hammond going to Meadow Lane plus cash.

David Wilson coming onto the board would be brilliant. He's our Abramovich!

This might be sort of old news that people don't care about anymore, but one of my mate's at Uni's Dad was chatting to the owner of The Griffin in Loughborough, and the landlord says he speaks to CL quite often and he reckoned his payoff was about £1.5m! Anyone know if that's true? Seems a lot. I know it's quite a tedious link, but the mate who told me would've been telling the truth since they know nothing about football, but I don't know how truthful the guy in the pub is...
Anyway the reason I mention it, do we have to pay a similar amount in compensation if we steal someone like Cotterill/Newell? Is it that we pay up the rest of their contract?
