Drinkwater, Mendy and Huth could be in contention. Drinkwater is training again, Huth and Mendy have both played for the under 23s in the last week.


I expect we'll see starts for Chilwell, Gray and Slimani.

Shakespeare said we'd be taking the cups more seriously this season, so I'm not expecting wholesale changes.

Having seen a few bits of him playing for the Under 23's I'm not sure he's ready even for the likes of Sheffield United. Possibly take him with the squad to give him the feel of a big game, rather than the type of surroundings the under 23's get.

We need to protect our important players (especially if carrying knocks), we also need to give injured players some game time, but we also need to progress to the next round Im sure Shakey will attempt as much, im hoping for a victory of any kind, plus an injury/suspension free game

To repeat my usual view on this, I hope we take it reasonably seriously and try for a cup run. If we're not trying to win trophies after winning the PL a year ago, we really have reverted to our previous status.

I agree with you bud I posted what I think the team would be but the team I want to see wouldn't see more than 5 changes of personnel outfield
