I think the criticism of Vardy, and more so Mahrez, is too harsh.

Too me they are both trying just short of confidence and teams have sussed them out more.

Mahrez in particular needs to be in the team.

Well done to Gray and Ndidi, and Chilwell, who all stood out above the rest.

Just need to change the fucking defence

I'll be surprised if we're not in the bottom three before our next league game. Before we play again Palace have a home game against Middlesbrough, and Hull have a home game against Burnley.

Vardy has been shit all year. Mahrez, sure we can make excuses for him, but Gray is playing better than him so he needs dropping to the bench until he changes it. Mahrez has the ability to do so. Vardy doesn't.

And we'll deserve to be but I still see us safe before the end of the season. We have the players to survive - they're just not the same shit that won the league last season. I've watched the other teams in the prem - there are a lot of shit teams.

That's not true is it? We've been playing the same players overall this season and we've been shit a lot of the time. Fact is we've been poor this season. CR has stuck by his "champions" for too long but there is still plenty of time to turn the season around. We have some very good young players and some pretty good other players. We've just been playing some shit players.

CR does need to change the back four now it is at CD where are biggest problem is. Huth and Morgan are too old and past it IMO, in regards to Armartey he is a RB and should play there, I think you are spot on that CR needs to shake it up selection wise, if he doesnt then he must go!

I kind of applauded Ranieri for sticking with his champions.

I am hoping that today is the straw that broke the camels back.

    You might be right;

"Of course I must change something because it is not possible to continue in this way," he said.

"Am I too loyal to my players? I could be, could be. It is difficult when you achieve something so good.

"You want to give them one chance, two chances, three chances. Maybe now, it is too much."

Ranieri had given a worrying simple indictment of his team on television immediately after the match.

But he admits that words do not even begin to solve his problems and the Italian seemed exasperated that whenever he calls a team meeting the players seem positive enough, only to fail to convert that into performances on the pitch.

"It is difficult to say it is mental," he said. "When I speak to them, everybody pulls together. Everybody wants to react. Everybody tries to say something positive to help each other. But after, we go back.

"Every time I speak to the players and the players speak to me we are always confident we can change the situation."

He further hinted that the Champions League campaign, which has been the one saving grace of the season so far, must be sacrificed, with staying in the Premier League such a grave concern.

"Now there are a few matches in front of us so we have to find a solution very, very soon," said Ranieri.

"There are two matches in front of us, one in the FA Cup and one in the Champions League - but our mind is on the Premier League."
"We have two problems," he said. "We concede and we don't score."

He started his career as a central defender, and plays there for his country. He can also play at right back and in midfield.

I enjoyed the Derby game. As soon as the team was announced for today I fucked off to do something altogether more enjoyable than waste it watching this selection again. **** that.

How can a man who got it so right last season keep getting it so wrong this one?

Still can't understand what Schmeichel did at the second goal

He was playing well in midfield for us before he left but I think our greatest need is CB so I'd play him there with Benny.

Not sure who else can replace Simpson at RB but maybe we'll go the Albrighton as WB route and with Chilwell liking to push up we may start scoring goals again and concede them too. I'd prefer that to the inevitable let one in and lose we have at the moment.

Took his eyes off the ball. It was heading straight towards him then swerved and he didn't react.

And how many times did he make a complete mess of corners. He is a disaster when the ball is crossed.

I think he just misread it, expecting it to go for the far post, dived early and as it happened, the shot went near post. Not his finest performance today but it's a rarity from him. Let's be fair, he does have to play behind Morgan, Huth and Fuchs....

Expected it to be hit across goal but their player sliced it instead.

Still should have saved it though but by far our best keeper.
