Oh dear. What really is pathetic is people willing to believe what The Mirror or The Sun tell them and use it as evidence enough to vilify someone without any factual information whatsoever about anything at all. I don't know what the **** you mean by 'defend Mahrez' - I have stated time and time and time again that I am just not willing to throw the guy to the wolves because some half-witted journalists and forum users tell me to based on spurious nonsense they have 'gathered' from a friend of a friend of a friend's dog. He may have acted a prick, he may not but for you to be so perturbed by the fact that I'm not willing to throw my toys out of the pram about it all because I don't know what went on is, without question, educationally and sociologically subnormal.

Several papers this morning are reporting more vitriolic nonsense clearly showing that they know absolutely nothing about the situation. Their articles now look very outdated.

I don't mind someone having an opinion on Mahrez's behaviour through all this. But too much of the comment and reporting has been based upon rubbish.

Leicester City were always aware of my whereabouts and had knowledge of my thinking either directly or via my advisors,” he said.

“I have been a part of the Leicester City team that has achieved much success including promotion to the Premier League and being Champions of the League.

Mahrez hit back at some of the media reports about his absence and said the reports were without foundation, but his statement doesn’t explain the reasons behind his absence.


“Over the past ten days many people claiming to be my friend have spoken about me and things they know nothing about,” he added.

“Off the back of that many people and journalists have made assumptions without properly checking the story, so I would like to clarify that all those so-called assumptions of why I was absent are completely untrue.

“Myself nor my advisors have ever made any statements about that so all presumptions made are totally without foundation.”

Come on Riyad, its good to see you back, life throws up all sorts of things, that are very hard to handle.
So called friends and media can be an unholy mix, and its easy to make poor judgments.
