I've just tried to find it, but it was hosted on fitz-online.net, which no longer exists.

Yeah I let that one go. Along with billcosby.co.uk

It'll be about somewhere.

Reports today that a deal with Man city is close for a reduced asking price than the 80 we wanted in the winter.

I reckon about 50+Roberts will be close to the mark.

Not sure entirely what warrants Roberts having any premier league value right now to us.

He’s down more at Celtic than Diabate had in France and people are creaming themselves over Diabate.

Roberts has a good rep so if he comes as part of the deal it wouldn’t be a terrible decision

He actually hasn’t done a whole lot at Celtic and has barely featured for them this past season since returning from injury.

I don’t think (m)any people are creaming themselves over Diabate. But a lot of people do see potential in him.

Frankly, if he's going to go ( which seems inevitable) the sooner the better.

Agreed.

I'll be gutted to see him go. But at least now we'd have the chance to replace him - which is also why the transfer fee will be lower than we asked for in January I'd suspect.

Agreed. But if we don’t get at the very least £75m for him, it’ll be an absolute travesty.

He’s far too good to play for a midtable team, and clearly we don’t have any ambitions to be anything but.

It sounds like the deal will be approx. £50m plus Patrick Roberts.

Roberts is another one with potential. He's in the same category as Gray, Chilwell and Iheanacho. All can be excellent or can be terrible. Youngsters that are going to go one way or the other.

What Roberts will definitely not bring us is a guaranteed 20 goals a season in terms of goals/assists. Mahrez has done this for the last three years and we'll miss it terribly. It may actually require us to add three new players to the side to make up that shortfall. Just one example. Losing Mahrez will inevitably mean the end for Okazaki. Because you cannot afford a second striker that doesn't score or create enough if you don't have Mahrez making his contribution. We simply cannot do what we've done at our best without him. Losing Kante, Drinkwater and Huth didn't stop us being us. Losing Mahrez does.

It's not even just his goals and assists that will be missed. His extraordinary ability, how he terrifies opponents, how he carries the ball from nothing to the danger zone, how he drifts around the pitch posing problems for markers, how he controls the ball, how he feints one way and goes the other leaving befuddled defenders looking around for him, how he teases and tempts and delights.

Those of you that have criticised him and wished him away will now get to see what we'll be missing. And it will be a massive loss. We may never see someone that exceptional in a Leicester shirt again. He'll go straight into that Man City team and piss all over Sterling, B Silva and Sane. He's that good.

It's heartbreaking.

Whilst I agree with most of this, I don’t remember 20 goals a season in goals/assists in 16/17.

That's because he was marked by 20 players every game.

No issues with him leaving for me. Did brilliantly for us in our league win and we need to move on as does he. Really pessimistic about Roberts though. Seems to fit the bill though with his injuries.

That was also the case for the first few months of this season.

Then for the first two weeks of February he was marked by zero players.
