Re: Ched Evans

Oh, I see. So she became unconcious, and it was only after that point that Evans decided to put his cock inside her?

Yep. She'd passed out when Ched came along and decided on sloppy seconds. How romantic

Re: Ched Evans

Perhaps someone could direct me to the place where it says she was unconscious please. I've not read that in any reputable source, just that she can't remember.

What I've read says she remembers drinking 2/3rds of a bottle of wine, 4 double vodkas and a Sambuca; yet she was able to accuse someone of spiking her drinks, whilst remembering that she also assaulted someone in the street for their food. Dont get me wrong; if she was unconscious in the film; then Ched has done wrong. That said, there had been a catalogue of neglect of the girl's wellbeing in the run up.....the bar staff serving her, her friends for not making sure she got home safe, the receptionist if she suspected the girl was likely to be put in a compromised position, and the girl herself as I mentioned in point 1. This is all a sad reflection of modern society.

Re: Ched Evans

Is this the first time a player has been sent down for rape? I know King was sexual assault, but most rape cases involving footballers seem to, rightly or wrongly, lead to nothing.

It's not just footballers, many allegations of rape either lead to nothing, or an acquittal if it makes it to court.

Re: Ched Evans

Yet another reason to dislike Swindon. They've got a fascist and a killer of children, I wonder what they could think of next.

Re: Ched Evans

Exactly where did you embark that stunted train of logic?

He served a prison sentence; he has served no debt, he has done society no service.

A man who spent three and a half years in prison for the good of his health must never be employed again.

Better? Or should we just string him up?

We choose to live in a country where, rightly or wrongly, prisoners are considered, in the eyes of the law, to have paid for their crime when they are released and are allowed to continue in their chosen profession. There are obvious exceptions to this with regards to working with children or the vulnerable, but footballers do not fall into this category.

It's shit that he got such a short time for the horrific crime and it makes it worse that he will be returning to a well paid job in the public eye, but if this were a CEO of a big company on similar wages it wouldn't make the newspapers.

All pretty true, but why does that mean the likes of Maws have to be happy that he has returned to a well paid job?

They don't have to be happy at all but if you are choosing to live in a country then unfortunately you have to accept its laws, good or bad. I'm referring to the dad driving to Italy comment BTW, not Maws.being unhappy.

When you have finished your ridiculous demonstration of hyperbole I suggest you go back to re-read my post; it neither questions his employment or makes suggestions of an imbecilic nature like capital punishment.

I questioned your assertion that he has 'served a debt to society'. If you can't respond to the original point I suggest you don't bother replying at all.
