Does Danny Cadamarteri deserve a mention? He seems to me to be one of many, many signings who simply added nothing to the squad.

Yeah, he worked his nads off but ultimately just wasn’t good enough for the top level. Perfectly fine second tier player and far better than many of those mentioned.

Yup, never stopped trying either. He started with a decent enough return too but as you say the rest were a ****ing shambles. He just happens to be the most expensive of the bad bunch.

Possibly the worst player ever to get his name sung when he came on. We had to make our own fun in that era.
I kind of feel that a worst ever has to have played a decent number of games - at least 20 or so - so for me that rules out Worley, Blake, Jarrett, Bori etc. (though I'll never forget Jarrett turning a full circle attempting to control a pass). Stephen Hughes was a flyweight but not even the worst midfielder in the team at the time. Junior Lewis played at least one good game before it became obvious he was shit. I'd opt for a messy fight between Wise, Josh Low and Elvis Hammond, all of whom were truly atrocious.

I wouldn't agree, honestly. For example, if Momo Sylla's LCFC career had terminated at Bramall Lane, we still would have known exactly how shit he was. Nothing he did after that made him a better or worse player.
