And Chalobah, FFS And that hopeless twat Harry Winks
That's exactly my thoughts. I agree, Albrighton perhaps shouldn't play for England but if the precedent has been set with th3 selections of Solanke and Challobah then he (and Simpson) should feel aggrieved at not being given a chance.
maybe if he or Simpson were CM's then yes but there are better wingers and much better right backs than Albrighton and Simpson available for England
Exactly. Not sure why some are comparing Albrighton to players who play in totally different positions.
Happy days, to think it's almost 50 years since we regaled Sir Alf with chorus after chorus of "Glover for England" as we unerringly steered our way to relegation to D2.
Well, to put it simply, they're not. They are discussing opportunities afforded to players based on 'merit'. If Challobah, Redmond (who has played as a winger many, many times and would most certainly have done so for England with their setup) and Wilshere have been selected supposedly on 'merit' then Albrighton and Simpson (2 years ago at least) can count themselves very unlucky not to have been selected. It's not really rocket science. You can include Drinkwater as well if you like - it's akin to the same thing.
The majority of players mentioned in this thread are central midfielders and have been given an opportunity because of how poor England’s choice of central midfield is. Hence why Drinkwater got an opportunity. Simpson and Albrighton haven’t been picked because England have better options in those positions.
I was annoyed all over again recently when someone reminded me that Wilshere went to Euro 2016 unfit and Danny Drinkwater didn’t go. That says it all about the extra challenge players from the “smaller” teams have, even after winning the PL And the fact it’s happening all over again with Wilshere this year just shows how poor the options are.
This article just boils down to journalistic begging for Mike Bassett and fourfourfuckingtwo
Goal Of The Month & Manager Of The Month nominations for Vardy, Mahrez and Puel https://www.lcfc.com/news/656688/puel-shortlisted-for-manager-of-the-month-award https://www.lcfc.com/news/656644/two-city-strikes-up-for-goal-of-the-month-award
How did it all go so wrong and turn into such an awful pile of shite ? Puel Out
That Vardy strike has to win it, surely? There's not another goal in that month as good as that one. Of course it's always biased by the fact Man U have a lot more fans.
Two wins against two of the divisions whipping boys doesn’t change a whole lot for me. Clearly some are easily pleased.
And it's pretty fucking obvious that some are never pleased.
Some people won’t be happy until Pearson is back

Charlie Nicholas on Mahrez when asked about a move to Spurs: 'He wouldn't get in to their starting eleven. He's no better than Son'. Punditry expertise at its finest.
Outstanding. Hey maybe this is a good thing, we all know what happened last time everyone underestimated LCFC.
