Interesting stats further down the page. Played 16, won 10, drawn 5, lost 5
You know what they say about statistics
http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...inker-with-my-leicester-miracle-a6781011.html allegedly no signings in jan
Not hugely surprised. We have cover across all of the key positions, and why alter a winning formula. It's possible not signing anybody is actually the best tactic to win the title.
We don't really need to remember the wining of the cups all those years ago, we have guys such as your goodself that keep on doing it for us. Anyway, can't help but admire what you have done to date but still feel that you have a cracking team that is firing on all cylinders but may not have the resources if and when the injuries start piling up. All you have to do now to even start to emulate Forest is to win the league and league cup, then win the European Cup and retain the league cup, then retain the European Cup and win the World Club Championship.
It is kind of boring of us to bring it up. Great achievement by Forest back then. No need to diss them for being proud of it. So would we have been.
http://www.theguardian.com/football...est-footballers-in-the-world-2015-interactive Riyad made the Guardian's annual top 100 players in the world list.
Being quite serious, do you think you can hang on to Vardy & Mahrez in January?
Yes, I think we can. Beyond that is a different question, but I don't feel it's an issue in January.
I'll go further than you and say we can keep them maybe beyond February too. And March. And...
I would add Kante into the 'do you think we can hold onto him category' and possibly Drinkwater.
I don't think we'll be losing any 'big' names in Jan but at the end of season who knows? Of course I wish and hope we can keep the players that feature most Saturdays but it may be difficult. It's quite a while until then though.
Get Champions league and it won't be an issue.
Terrific article: http://www.economist.com/blogs/game...itive-balance-football?fsrc=email_to_a_friend
The Economist often gets bad press for being what a lot of people see as snobby paper. In actual fact (as displayed here) their articles are often highly interesting and accurate. I think that's a winner.
I don't imagine there are any other papers that would report Jamie Vardy as "Mr"
I'm a football fan.The dissing goes with the role.I had enough Forest fans crowing like **** at me when I was a kid as they won the league & EC while we got relegated & enjoyed Division 2 at the same time. What goes arounbd comes around.Life is a circle. As a City fan you get few enough chances to revel so I make the most of it in case we're shite again in 5 years time.
Isn't this supposed to be the them talking about us thread, rather than the other way around?
I don't know. Are you one of us, or one of them?
