Let's have a poll with arsenal in the options....bet most the voters haven't even watched the video. Could put best World Cup winners and Arsenal would win.

They are good goals but that lot make it pointless.

I voted Muzzy, but actually it was Dennis past Dabizas which should win for me.

I've always preferred Di Canio's goal to Bergkamp's to be honest. While I recognise the genius of the latter there's something about Di Canio's clean hit that is so satisfying, especially seen from that second angle

Agree.

The Charlton goal is similarly pure.

It's a fantastic goal but it is situated within the familiar ontology of Premier League football. Unexpected but recognisable. Di Canio's goal (scissors jump, outside of the foot hit, trajectory of the ball) is a foreign entity

The two best goals I ever saw were both in pre-season friendlies.
One was by Keith Weller against Forest at Forest in the early 1970s; imagine having a pre-season friendly against Forest.
The other was by West Brom against Worcester City in the 1960s when Jeff Astle scored the kind of goal that could only be scored by an England international playing against part timers. Of course neither was televised
One of the most peculiar was the one scored by Forest against Leicester during the brief reign of Gary Megson. The first game had been abandoned when Forest were one-nil up and for the replay it was arranged that the Forest goalkeeper would be allowed to score from the kick off.

It was earlier than 1974 and was a pre-season friendly not a testimonial.

I think you're misremembering and it was actually the goal he scored in the league game the season he came to us. Weller got the first and Birchenall the second; We Hate Ian Storey Moore got one for them. We didn't beat them in a league game there again for over 40 years until Knockaert scored in the last minute to put us in the play-offs.
