Be nice if Vardy could finish his dinner.......... Again

Doesn't fit into the system and doesn't take chances when they do come as he likes them.

Sorry but if we are compromising by playing him in this system then he needs to make damn sure he does better with the perfect opportunities he does get.
I don't think we are compromising. I think we just need to tell someone to get closer to him.

When I have calmed down I will realise that we have a big gaping hole (King sized) in the middle of midfield. We desperately need an engine in there and someone who can control the tempo of a game - hopefully Mr Silva is that man.

We also could do with the presence of a certain Mr Huth in defence.
The defeat today was not because Andy King was in midfield. Criticism would be much more justified if aimed at Schmeichel, Chilwell, or Vardy. But as usual for some, Andy King is to blame. It’s just not the case.

And we do have someone who can control the tempo of a game - He’s Spanish and his last name is Iborra.

I am not blaming King because of a poor performance, I am highlighting the fact that he is simply not good enough, especially in such a crucial position. Today we weren't able to keep the ball, dictate the tempo or open up their shambolic defence. We need a player there who will control the game and yes Mr Iborra might be that man but today he wasn't available.

still relatively optimistic. If we can tighten up in a few areas we will be fine this year. Goals are in the side and set piece issues should be correctable.

Suspect we will see more rotation at Liverpool...possibly time for a Vardy rest.

We'll have another good run followed by a run of the turd we're being served now. Safely mid-table with the likes of Watford who will be tipped for Europe in a few weeks and then play like shite for a month. Nearly every team is West Brom this season....west Brom aren't though which is one of few interesting points in a boring league.

Liverpool could give us the hammering

I think the relegation battle will be really tough this year and it isn’t hard to imagine most teams getting sucked in. Swansea look dead and buried but they are the only lame ducks.

West Brom, West Ham, Bournemouth, Watford, Huddersfield, Newcastle, Stoke, Brighton, and yes, even Leicester and Palace still have plenty of work to do.

Gun to my head we are better than at least two of those sides: I’ll go West Brom and Brighton for now. Those teams just don’t have goals in their side.

Agree it's difficult to work out the shittest 3. Newcastle should be dead and buried in most seasons but this year ran us close to a point despite being embarrassingly shite and a few others have been worse. The shit we got our last point out of are second...we beat spurs and burnley but played like amateurs against Palarse. Im totally not buying in to the best league in the world shit this season. I don't watch other leagues but there has to be one better somewhere.

If you look at the fixture list today it stinks. Not really an interesting fixture in the bunch. League is packed with teams desperate not to go down. Ultimately, in regards to relegation it’ll come down to teams that can’t score goals. Newcastle are definitely a candidate.

That performance had a distinctive stench to it, I found myself questioning the attitude of a number of players again. Hopefully it's tiredness, and not a change to the pregame menu.

I just hope we aren’t pinning all of our hopes on January having a Silva lining.

We were ****ing pants today, again.

Quite why we insist on lumping the ball up high to our midget forwards is beyond me. Watford managed to drag the fixture down to a mid-championship style hoof-head-ball-tennis.

I kept kidding myself that we had the quality to rise above this type of garbage but ****ing hell it was well hiddenntoday.

Chilwell has an absolute stinker, King was a turd hidden in a rotting rose bed.

****ing hell, Leicester are SO frustrating at times.

Joselu...
Half the league is shit though. Whoever stays up at fourth bottom can feel as proud as the winner of the Fuchs vs Chilwell competition.

There hasn’t been a boring season for decades (even when we were really shit).

Now that's really not true. There have been several mind-numbingly dull seasons in recent memory.

Exhibit A - 2004/2005. It started with a 0-0 and finished with a 0-0. We ended the season in a meaningless 15th. Crap players, crap football, crap manager. Tedious beyond belief. We bombed out of the league cup in the first round to Preston. We did have a quarter final in the FA Cup but this was far less interesting than it sounds. Dull opposition (Blackpool, Reading and Charlton), poor matches and done 1-0 at Blackburn.

It was so boring you've probably ejected it from memory. There are other seasons in contention too . . .

That’s a fair one. As for others even when things petered out we were doing weird things like Mad Mandy, Sven signing dozens of players, reappointing Pearson, six managers in a year etc etc.

I suppose post-relegation, pre-Mandy was shit.

Go back to the pre match thread in which many of us expressed concern over Chilwell as a LB. If you still think he should be starting games in that posotion, I give you that game as Exhibit A. He was appalling from the first minute as was Dragovic.

We had a huge gaping hole in midfield through which Watford attacked us again and again and we just couldn't create anything at all. I don't blame King entitely for this, although he was largely anonymous, but that just isn't his strength. Iborra should have started if he wasn't injured and we could have rested him against Liverpool, a game we wouldn't have complained too much about losing.

Okazaki was well off his game today as well. He wasn't as much of a nuisance as he normally appears to be and that, combined with Vardy's poor effort on goal in the first half, meant that we were always going to struggle when they went a goal up.
