When MA wins some trophies then you can make the comparison. Bloomfield was great but he won nothing and as such he will always take a spot behind god a.k.a. Martin O'Neill as will, at the moment, MA.

MONs team wanted to play and win, thats why we got results as the 'grinders'! But the current side(well half of them) just seem lazy!

I wouldn't stay half of the team, maybe seven eleventh's

IMO MON's side was ALB than MA's current side, but that's just IMO.

I have decided to do a player against player evaluation

walker, imo is a lot better than keller
    sinclair, marginaly better than kaamark
    walsh beats howey
elliot in is day is better than scimeca but at the moment scimeca is better
scowie is a better scorer but sav beats him at right mid
    izzet, in both teams
lennon is far better than mckinaly
stewart is better than zagorakis, mainly for pace and shoot
can't compare gupp's and thatch as they play different possitions
claridge and dickov are evenly matched
heskey was a better player, but i beleive that bent best times are still to come.

You have got to be having a joke teenfox!!!!
Sinclair is not in the same league as Kaamark. Kaamark was world class!
Zagorakis is better than Stewart as well by a mile!
Heskey isn't as good as Bent either.

    Come on, wake up!

I would agree with that Sam, but I would have Savage in place of Eadie. Savage was crucial in midfield for closing down opponents. :)

Kaamark was one of the best defenders we have had in recent years. Remember his man marking of Juninho :?:

Eadie didn't play that game it was Impey on the right with Sav in the middle. The best L.C.F.C. team I 've seen, by far.

That team would of got us in to the champions league. :)

Not long after that we sold Heskey to Liverpool. I think that demonstrated to MON that we were never going to be a big enough team in the prem to accomodate such potential, which possibly led to him leaving us for Celtic. Maybe if Heskey had stayed it would have all been different :( As for us playing Champ' League football, well you never know. We were attracting the stars and generating the money. O'Neil would have run a steady ship.
