Well, Everton are playing a lot better than we are right now. As are Villa who also took points off them. We really wouldn’t have to brilliant to take points from them. But if we are the drizzling shits that we have been so far this season, we have no chance.
Agree with everything CF said. We also don't know if any of Evans, Fofana, or Justin will be fully fit this season. Is Rodgers powerless to improve the team until all three are back at their peak? Is there noting he can do in terms of selection or tactics, etc. in the meantime?
How about we instead imagine the good manager that we could get. And no I don’t have anyone in mind and I’m not saying that I would definitely sack him now. It’s just, this line of thinking is so often trotted out as a reason to keep a manager, without acknowledging the obvious flip side to...
He always leaves it too late. More other than not when we’ve had a shit first half and/or are losing at the break, he trots out the same 11 and tactics for the second half.
**** same, losing a 2-0 lead to Napoli shouldn’t have happened, but it’s Napoli. Bolloxing up a 2-0 lead with half an...
He plays for a rival team so I’m not at all delighted about his form. Having said that, while I agree that he never would have fulfilled whatever potential he has, with us, when he left I had no ill feelings toward him.
How this keeps happening is unfathomable. You think one of Schmeichel himself, or the manager, or one of the numerous coaches we employ would see what we see every single game. AND STOP ****ING DOING IT.
It’s got very little, if anything to do with this team selection. We’ve been poor in every game this season. We’re a shambles at the back and not much better in midfield. Vardy and Lookman have looked good in attack. But on the whole we are an extremely poor football team.
Not generally a fan of 3 at the back. But we couldn’t be any more of a shambles than with a back 4. And Evans lack of pace/fitness is less of a risk in a 3. It’s also allows Lookman, Vardy, and Ihenacho to get in the team.
He was taken off today because he was tired cos he played at Milwall. What a shambles that was. If you knew he was going to play today, why wasn’t he taken off earlier at Milwall. Or better still, play Daka at Milwall since he was never going to start today. Stupid management.
Oh and Brendan, see what happens when you play two-strikers, they combine for a goal. Obviously won’t happen every tome they play together. But it won’t ever ****ing happen with one of them on the bloody bench.
Can anyone come up with any logical reason as to why Lookman was taken off? And if you can, why he was replaced by Maddison?
This is t even an anti-Maddison point. He did nothin g wrong when he came on. I’m just at a total loss at to the thinking behind that decision.
Maddison is exactly the type of player who should not play with a bunch of reserves away at Milwall. Stick him on the bench so he has to sit through the shitfest and then give him Saturday off to go shopping.
