    Who should go?

Stearman's basically the best youth prospect at the club. He's capped at youth international level and to make the bench already is pretty impressive at 17. I saw him against East Bengal, he was very good but admittedly played against a crap team. He just signed a professional contract, he won't...

    ENOUGHS A ENOUGH

You may be right but I hope not, Bassett is terrible and way past it. He is responsible for scouting/transfers and contracts at the moment, and look what a mess he's made of it - he brought in players like Hignett and Curtis (both at his former clubs) and put players like Dickov and Thatcher on...

    Midfield Dynamo

Steven Dawson (reserve team) is a good tackler, likes to get stuck in.

    Walks out for 4 weeks

What?? He didn't have a gk on the bench on the matches when Walker was playing - brighton, wolves, watford. Pressman was available for all of those matches, MA just didn't include him on the bench. Anyway, we already have a 3rd goalkeeper - Conrad Logan. MA could of put him on the bench...

    Walks out for 4 weeks

He doesn't have a gk on the bench anyway so why bother getting cover?

    Player Ratings vs Rotherham

I think Stewarts got the potential to be a good player-he put some good crosses in, don't get me wrong, its just he didn't defend very well at times, gave the ball away. I agree with beaumontfox, Harper was a lot more effective, but Stewart just needs to work harder. If we were playing a team...

    Player Ratings vs Rotherham

Pressman 8 Makin 6 Stewart 5 Dabizas 6 Keown 7 Harper 7 Scowcroft 5 Williams 5 Nalis 8 Dublin 5 Connolly 4 Wilcox 5 Wright 6 I agree, Pressman looked solid although he wasn't really tested much, but made some good saves. I thought Dublin and Connelly didn't look much better...

Lose 15 and still go up!!

Well they were 20th in the table and lost 5-0 to Wigan before they sacked him, and had taken 2 points from their last 15 matches so I think thats proof enough. Ask any palace fan if they think Steve Kember would have got them promoted and I think they'd say no.

Lose 15 and still go up!!

They sacked their manager after their losing run, and brought in Dowie. If they had stayed with the manager that got them into that losing run, they would not have been promoted.

    Im Backing Micky

Re: cause and effect Well another factor seems to be age, or 'experience' as he likes to call it. I can't see any other reason why Nathan 'I'm here to collect my pension' Blake is picked ahead of Tommy Wright.

    Dabizas

OK they maybe they weren't very good, but I just thought they were probably better than elliot and taggart (the 4-3 defeat to Wolves comes to mind). When I saw Heath and Dabizas play against Wolves at home (when it was 0-0), they had Wolves attack under control with no real problems. Maybe that...

    Dabizas

Who else is there? Heath is more of a liability than him and Keown doesn't seem to be up to playing every match. I thought he did ok against brighton, he tried to organise the defence a bit and he didn't really deserve to be substituted from wilcox. Its a shame the partnership between him and...

    SACK THE CLOWN

I think he'll have to go. Lets face it, the tactical naiveness and hoofball philosophy will never go away. I'd much rather have a manager that makes mistakes and learns from them than a stubborn yorkshireman that makes the same tactical errors over and over again. The experience thing and the...

    how would you change things?

There are obviously huge problems with the players, but we have to stop playing hoofball as well. It isn't effective like two seasons ago. With so many relatively short players (tiatto, canero, gunjonnson) and others under six foot (gillespie, wilcox, makin) how can all players win headers? When...

    Heath, Stewart,dabizas

Too true, he was awful today. His heading, which is supposed to be his (only?) strength was very poor (did you see the last chance of the game, where he headed the ball AWAY from the brighton goal). He tried to play in several positions, the left, the right, the centre and failed in all of them...

    Player Ratings vs Brighton

Walker 5 - should of done better with the goal Canero 5 - alright, didn't do a lot wrong, quite good in 1st half Dabizas 5 - ok, could have done better for the goal Heath 4 - didn't look reliable at all, but fortunately didn't make many serious errors Stewart 7 - made some mistakes but made...

    captain for next year

Walker? He can't organise a defence let alone a whole team. Elliott or Dublin/keown would be much better.

    Wilcox has signed!

Is he really 32? He looks about 40! :(

    Jason Mcateer?

Novo would be good, but are you really sure Bridges would be any use? He hasn't scored a goal for something like two or three years. He reminds me of Morris - short, injury prone and not exactly prolific when it comes to scoring goals.

    Dougie Freedman

They were both players with him at Barnsley (his former club) when they were in the first division.

Micky aint playing with the full dec !

The reason he came was because he was at Bassett's former club, Barnsley and Bassett rated him when was there. The same with Curtis.

    Michael Bridges

I doubt he would be worth it anyway. He hasn't scored a goal for something like 3 years and his work rate doesn't strike me as very high. He didn't do anything at Newcastle this season, Benjamin would probably be a better option for next season.

Dickov is set for City exit...

I reckon Bassett is to blame for some of the awful signings this season as well as this contract mess. For instance Hignett and Curtis both played for him at Barnsley - not a coincidence they came here too.
