The demographic of 20/20 match supporters is different to real cricket ie 4 day games, the supporters are less educated, less interested in cricket, more working class and many go to matches to get drunk and have a party. After all 20/20 is more focused on entertainment rather than talent or sport.

Well played Cobb, O'Brien and Williams. Hopefully, Cobb and O'Brien can use these innings as a platform for the next 4 day game. I have always thought Cobb should try and develop his bowling more. I'm surprised Taylor was used as a 6th bowler though and he seems to be underused lately.

Maybe I am being harsh on O'Brien as he is a wicketkeeper too and did get one 63, and also has a good career record as w/k batsman. However, clearly being 2 down for 10 and 20 odd runs or less each innings, each game will add pressure to the middle order and expose them to the new ball.

According to todays summary on Cricinfo, Thornely has been given a two year contract. I would say Boyce has a better record than Smith, as opener but he seems to be much better suited to the middle order.

If your friend can take Masters apart then he must be professional standard because there are few in county cricket that take Masters apart he is one of the most economical bowlers on the scene.

I agree some players, but some have also shown signs of improvement as well like Cobb in four day cricket and Boyce in the 20 over format. Might sound odd, but I actually think the bowling has been weaker than the batting this season especially in limited over cricket.

Sarwan played well, but a few had decent strike rates when batting. I'm sure Taylor and Jones had strike rates above 200 at the end. At one point Leicestershire were chasing 11 runs odd an over, so a great win and Taylor again got Leicestershire over the line.
