If they had lost the points last season, the season of the crime, they would have been relegated on goal difference?

I agree, the only reason I can think of for not following this strategy would be to set an example to others. To try and show that the club will not entertain 'paying off' players to leave in the hope that they will bite the bullet and leave for game time elsewhere. If this is the strategy it...

There are two guys (dad and son?), who occasionally sit near me who I wonder why they bother. Throughout the game they will constantly chunter away about the match in general and player mistakes, especially those by players they have a pet hate too. The only time I hear anything positive from...

Contract up at the end of the season, Burnley tried to buy him in the summer of 2022, looks like a good fit for our system.

Great to hear of a few more general sale games, hopefully they will attract a few more vocal fans. According to transfermarkt we are filling on average 96.6 of the stadium so we aren't drammatically wrong.

Wilf's injury may make it difficult for him to secure a lucrative contract elsewhere in the summer, especially when taking into account his injury troubles over the last few seasons. I like Wilf, one of my favourite players, and will be delighted if he sign's a new contract with us.

I am surprised how people seem to have written off some of players just because they got relegated. Look at the Fulham team that went down in 20/21, it contained numerous players who looked poor in their relegation battle, only to perform to a reasonable standard when they came back up -...

IMO what makes a good pub is the people that frequent it. Plenty of spit and sawdust pubs are great or rubbish because of the people they attract. Exactly the same is true for any type of pub.

    Champions League

I hope we end up ditching the clear and obvious bit and focussing on whether a decision is correct or not. VAR officials should be encouraged to look at decisions and quickly say whether they agree with the referee or not. if they do let the decision stand, if they don't suggest to the referee...

Apologies, just checked, Celtis were originally awarded a penalty which was then overturned by the referee when he had another look.

I wasn't paying much attention last night but I think I saw a referee go to the monitor and stick with his decision - at the end of the Lazio v Celtic game.

Post Match Leicester 2 Watford 0

The boring bit bugs me, especially when we created about 10 good chances / situations on Saturday, four of which came in the first half. Iheanacho would have been one on one with their keeper with a better touch. Ndidi / McAteer move should have put McAteer in one on one with their keeper. KDH...

Post Match Leicester 2 Watford 0

Some have commented that our away days are more enjoyable, proven by the number of goals we score away from home. This supports our overall approach in my opinion highlighting that when our opponents are more ambitious and push more players forward, as they should do at home, we are far more...

Post Match Leicester 2 Watford 0

I struggle with the idea that we are boring, we are top of the table and 2nd top scorers. Whilst Saturday’s game, like all our games, was slower, more structured, less chaotic than we have been used to historically it was not boring in my opinion. I thought we dominated the game, should have...

I wouldn't be rushing to rest most of our players as yet. The international breaks, which we all dislike, are doing us a favour and giving the likes of Winks, KDH and Vestergaard regular rest at the moment.

Just a thought, aren't we rightly critical when the referee goes over to the pitch-side monitor and the first thing he see's is a still image, before being shown a video of the decision being checked.

There has been the odd loan deal where the player has agreed to a lower salary to ensure the deal goes through. No idea if Daka would agree to this, but his salary should have dropped this season anyway if he had a relegation drop clause.

I would ideally loan Ndidi for a season with a one year extension, as we did with Choudhury. If we do get promoted he could be a valuable squad member that does not need replacing. Needing to buy an almost completely new squad if we do get promoted should be a real concern.
