Happy with that start. Home game which we'd expect to win.
September looks tough though - big challenge for Pearson to avoid our customary October sacking perhaps.

December and January look like they should be okay though.

Apart from Peterbrough, our first 8 fixtures all look very, very daunting. We're going to have to come out of the blocks flying. The good thing is, if we pick up a decent amount of points from those games, it should give us a bit of momentum. I think it's very important that we get off to a good start this season if we harbour any ambitions of getting promoted.

As we have to play each team twice, I am of the opinion it doesn't matter a feck how the fixtures fall. But then I am a simple soul.

I have the usual pdf prepared, if someone wants to host it I can email it to them, I can't seem to connect to my own website from here at work. I'll have a go tonight when I get home.

I'd rather have an easy start to the season than a difficult one. Start off with a few wins it can instil some confidence in the team that will lead to better performances.

As a Carlisle season ticket holder I wanted the Leicester matches in the north all to be on Saturdays when Carlisle are playing away. None of them are. The same thing happened last season. It's a conspiracy.

I remember going there on the last day of the season a few years ago. It was quite lively that day.

I've mentioned it before on here, but that day was one of my shittest so far in life.

Me and the old man went, I was 14/15 at the time, walking back to the train-station (lived in Leic at the time) and we both got beaten up in a unprovoked attack. Forest won that day aswell, absolutely no need for the attack. Scum!

I've also mentioned my experience on here before too. They were already relegated I believe and seemed to think MON would move to them in the summer. Our chant of 'Martin thinks you're shit' still makes me smile.

After the game we were all herded to the train station and, despite the fact that I lived in Nottingham, the police said that was my problem and I'd have to take the train to Leicester and then get a train back. Fortunately at about the fourth attempt I found a reasonable officer and (as I had my address on me on a document) he let me and my mates out.

Should be a lovely festive affair.Unfortunately I doubt big Nige will be joining us for a cold buffet and booze up.Still he will be entitled to a very generous severance payment in November.See you all on Boxing Day.I wonder what the odds on winning the Chamionship will be by then.
