Not necessarily. Most sponsor deals end/start in the summer, so there's been a few occassions where a team has debuted their shirt in the final game and then the sponsor has changed before it's released to the public.

Although I think those things are much better synced these days by most clubs - but you wouldn't put it past us.

I don't know. Did it? Tbh, I didn't clock/know it was the new home shirt.

And, aside what has been suggested above and for all anyone knew, with it being before the relegation game it may have been a home a home shirt for IF we avoided relegation, with the sponsorship ending due to relegation. Shit loads of possibles if one thinks about it.

Besides, and more to the point, It was just me being flippant!

Wouldn't surprise me if they had a relegation clause in their contract too. Would make sense given the why of them sponsoring us. I'm sure some would like to suggest we'll have signed a contract that means we're paying them now
