2023/24 Fixtures

There was a 3-0 in the snow but that was a week before Christmas 2010. They beat us Boxing Day 2002; we were 1-0 up until the 84th minute. Darren Ambrose winner. Reverse fixture that season was 6-1, when we had three off injured in the first half, but that was in August.
Can you remember which obscure player scored for us in the 6-1?

Wow, this is the moment it really started to sink in for me.

Depressing as ****.

No.

We've played them five times on Boing Day. The biggest defeat in those games was 2-0 in 2001.

Ooh do we know which fixture is our dedicated Booing Day this year?

I think Watford at home in late October.

Coventry at home when we’re 0-4 down

Ah yes, it was the 6-1 I was thinking of. I'd conflated it with the home fixture on Boxing Day. Thanks

You like to think we have every chance for promotion, but unknown quantity of a manager and who knows what the team will look like.

If our legacy over the last 8 years was playing it’d be a dead cert. Sadly none of that counts for shit anymore.

When last season's fixtures were released 33 of them were scheduled for 3PM on Saturday.
You mean our fixtures? Surely not?

Was that the game that the officials appeared to be shit scared of Roy Keane, so played the game after taking the players off

Why?

None of them had been moved for TV yet, and not many Prem games are scheduled for midweek.

Why? Just does. I'm surprised, that's all.
It seems like a futile exercise. Why bother releasing fixture lists when they are wildly inaccurate?

Of the 31 Saturday 3pm fixtures this season coming up, I'd imagine the vast majority (let's say at least 25) will stay there, unlike last season where no more than just over half did.

Last time we were in the Championship we played Ipswich near my 40th birthday (January) we went into the hospitality lounge and had a sit down meal to celebrate.
So in 2024 I'll be 50 and Ipswich is again the game at home nearest my birthday, considering Ipswich were in Div 1 last season and we were in the premier League it's quite a coincidence.
My Wife was born in Ipswich and pretty much all her family still live there so I'll be going into the hospitality lounge and getting pissed again.

Oh Jamie Vardy scored in that game....

I’ll be along with the regular “print it and stick it on the fridge” list later on.
