Do we know when the updated 25 man squad is announced? presumably Monday, we must have some spaces available given some that were named in it in August then left the club so I wonder if someone like Kaputska or Sam Hughes might get named in it

City’s full 24-man squad is below (* indicates homegrown).
Albrighton, Marc Kevin*
Amartey, Daniel
Barnes, Harvey Lewis*
Bennett, Ryan*
Chilwell, Benjamin James*
Choudhury, Hamza*
Evans, Jonathan Grant*
Fuchs, Christian
Gray, Demarai Remelle*
Iheanacho, Kelechi
Jakupovic, Eldin
James, Matthew Lee*
Maddison, James Daniel*
Mendy, Nampalys
Morgan, Westley Nathan*
Ndidi, Onyinye Wilfred
Pereira, Ricardo
Perez Gutierrez, Ayoze
Praet, Dennis
Schmeichel, Kasper Peter*
Soyuncu, Caglar
Tielemans, Youri Marion A
Vardy, Jamie*
Ward, Daniel*

Matty James could feature in the second half of the Premier League season after being named in Leicester City's updated squad list.

Midfielder James, who has not played a senior game for 13 months, was omitted from City’s 25-man list for the first part of the season.

But after recovering from summer ankle surgery and having played three full matches for the club’s development squad since the turn of the year, he is now back in contention.

James is one of two new names on the list for City, with deadline-day loan recruit Ryan Bennett also included.

Three players drop off the list: Monaco loan duo Adrien Silva and Islam Slimani and Croatian defender Filip Benkovic, who moved to Bristol City on loan in the final hour of deadline day.

That means City have one place spare in their squad.

Have I missed him leaving, or is there another reason that Kapustka hasn't been included as the 25th man?

Not sure how it works we could sign him for sure now and have him training but as to whether he’d be allowed to play? We’d probably have to appeal to FIFA

Surely if he was at a club at the end of January we can't sign him until the summer?
Jeff is correct. Even if he hadn’t just been banned for four months he wouldn’t be eligible to play until the next transfer window. He could sign for clubs in leagues whose transfer windows were open at the time his contract was cancelled (or have opened since), such as MLS or the National League, but with the ban he’ll have to wait until June 18th now anyway.
