Just 364 days since we traveled down to Loftus road to play QPR. Mr Adams was still in charge, and people were beginning to panic after a slow start to the season. Many wondered "Is MA going to be able to take us back up?" It looked like no.

IN that faitful game one David Connerly got himself sent off, Mr Adams had this to say on the subject: "There is no doubt that the sending off of David was the turning point in the game."he also said "From 2-0 we should have gone on to win the game but we made it so difficult for ourselves." and then went on to say " I am very angry and disappointed and I am sure the supporters are too."

And today we have " "To put so much effort into the game and get nothing from it is extremely frustrating." and "Alan Maybury has cost us the match, there is no doubt about that. His actions were reckless and stupid."

Seems pretty similar to me, and shows the lack of progession in the past year. I just hope it gets better soon.

In terms of results this season is no better than last. But the average age of the team is alot younger, so at least there is room for us to improve unlike last season.

I agree as well, last season should have been a given to be challenging for promotion, the financial results provide testament to the backing and commitment the board showed to Adams last summer, this season we are now in a position where we are having to make drastic cuts to budgets and yet still try to rebuild the club.

Yes it is fustrating and disappointing that as yet things havent quite clicked, but there has been a lot of hard work and foundations put in place for the future and these are already reaping rewards, players like Stearman, Sheehan, Weso and Chambers have all been involved with the first team squad.

We must be paitent, CL has started the job and he must be given longer than a year, we cannot fall into the trap of sacking managers who do not deliver instant success. We have to accept that the club needs rebuilding, a succession of short term fix managers have been employed by this club and 12 months ago was the realisation that the club was built on sand. There was little in the way of youth coming through and the ones who were, clearly were not good enough.

Although we may be in for a fustrating season, we must stick with it, this is a long term plan, next summer the likes of Dublin, Tiatto and Wilcox will no doubt move on and it will create the opportunity for CL to go out and bring in another 3 or 4 younger players, also another year on and the academy will no doubt have produced a couple more gems, these building blocks are starting to show seeds of promise, but it will take longer for the fruits to be bourne.

We must support CL and give him the time, because long term we may just have a side to be proud of, involving a high proportion of local talent and a team that has grown up together. CL in the main has signed some good players but through injuries and in some instances his own decision making we as yet havent really settled on our best XI. Once we do I think we will do ok.
