One half of football was all it took for Max Gradel to seal the online man of the match award away at Premiership side Fulham after the 3-2 defeat on Wednesday evening. Gradel came on at half time and seemed to take the second half by storm as he claimed his second man of the match award of the season.

Winger Lloyd Dyer managed to claim a second place spot and veteran Paul Dickov rounded off the top three. Matty Fryatt seemed to make less of an impact in his 45 minutes of player ending with the flop of the match award. (Note. 45 mins is the minimum to be considered for these awards). Pretty much agree with that order, except I'd probably have had Morrison in between King and Tunchev.

Gradel's performance despite being only 45 mins, for me, was the best in a leicester shirt for four years and shows that he is the real deal. It's not joachim pace or garry parker passing, but gradel WANTS the ball, gets it and uses it. He's a f*cking gem.
pearson has given our talented youngsters (evidentially the best TEAM of their year) the smarts and the confidence to pass to each other and to mix it to win the right to do that. As the game ebbed and flowed i saw real signs that Weso and King can be players and King has more potential in his little finger than the likes of Clemence, savage etc who could be considered his competition.
they are by no means a really good side yet, and will be dominated by similar older teams at teams.
We lost to a mixture of dodgy and 1 great goal, butfor 45 mins against full strength fulham, gilbert, morrisson, weso (i never thought i'd say that) king, gradel and dyer showed that there's a completely different spirit and talent base to this new fledgling leicester side.

i think we might fade as the season goes on without money (with potential injuries), but i'm getting back towards being proud again to be a city fan again, after only five games of the Pearson reign.

long live the Foxes!!!!!! :038:

having said that, Powell's reaction to Dyer running all the way across the pitch, losing the ball and leaving us ****ed for their last goal was priceless. I think Dyer's ears will be ringing for about a year the bollocking he got off him.
good on him! that's what a 38 year old is for!

Good Post but was this the first time you have seen King this season. Against Tranmere he was the worst City Player (closely followed by Porter) and only slightly better against MK Dons IMO. I admit it was a very good goal but good goals don't make players.

Kings defo got talent but i reckon he needs time to bed in. I think he might get rested today as i think he's too young and green to play in centre mid every game. Would like weso or kish to partner Oakley today. King will prove a very good player over time as he matures.

Thought Martin deserved better than that. I don't blame him for the goals. As it's been mentioned his kicking is poor, but he was often quick to spot an opportunity releasing quickly and starting a counter attack.

If they had not scored at the end everyone would be praising his game.

If Pearson sticks with him I hope he grows in confidence.
