532 or 442?

Am I right in thinking that CL cannot decide his best central defensive pairing(or indeed has realised we need some new ones), and that is the reason for playing all 3 of them (sorry Sticks/Stearman).
He said from day 1 that he preferred 442 yet he continues to mess about with formations which isnt helping form an "unchanged Line-up" which most teams strive for to gain consistency.

I think he should make his mind up and stick with it.
I saw us play against the Leagues best strikeforce (Roberts/Ellington) and Keown/Dabizas that day were both superb and looked good together.
Was it just a one off!?

MA was another that couldnt decide his best 11 but at least he stuck to the same tatics.......... Hoof!!

I think the reason that CL is playing three at the back is because of the lack of wingers in the squad. As soon a KG was suspended he went to 532 because he had no one else to put down the right hand side.
With Tiatto injuried too he was left a bit sort of options on the other side.

I think that he also realises that our central defensers collectively and individually are rubbish, and that having a extra one might mean they won't have to run around so much(see as there all in there 30's)

I agree, there is no point playing the same formation week in week out if you dont have the players available, once Tiatto and Gillespie return, I think we will be back to 4-4-2.
