Whatever it says, it is wikipedia. You, me Sean o'driscoll even the baby jebus could have updated it. Never ever ever believe what wikipedia says.

My friend once read that Gary Willmot was dead following a mauling incident by a lion. Needless to say, this wasn't true. GW has even been linked to the managers job at city! I read it in another thread on here so it must be true.

Wikipedia is fine to believe if there is a respectable source, it's unsourced material you need to be weary of.

I have absolutely no idea who that is.

Don't let it get to you. I suspect that there will be many, many more threads about potential managers, managers that we would hate, fantasy managers, etc. before Leicester make an appointment.

Hopefully not, whoever we get in needs to be in by the end of next week, so that they have the maximum amount of time to get the players used to the formation they play, tactics, etc.

Formation isn't important, I read it in a World Cup thread, so we're all right there.

It's fantastic that the Trust believe we should be looking at a manager with a win ratio of above 40% and a not lost ration of 70%, which not only do none of the mentioned candidates meet, O'Neil wouldn't have met at the point when he left us.

Talk about ****ing deluded.

which is why I havent read any of their link...there was far too much dull, long winded information on there of no relevance

So how do you come to a conclusion as to who you think the manager is that is more likely to do a better job.

The stats can be quite revealing, we aren't saying judgement is on stats alone, but they are a good monitor of past achievements (or lack of them)

It would be more relevant if you could somehow work out results as relating to the status of the club in the league they were in at the time. Pearson's record looks fantastic but he managed Leicester in their lowest ever position against the easiest opposition ever, so you can't really compare it to the records of managers who have done a great job in the lower reaches of the top division.

A better way to judge a manager is: complete and utter cock end, or not? That always rules most of them out IMO.

And sorry to be a pain FT, but could you dig out the "shoe-waving" stats? I was disappointed with Nigel's ratio in this area and don't want to fall short again.
