Leicester City striker Dion Dublin has today signed a new one-year contract with the club.
Dublin joined the Foxes on a free transfer from Aston Villa in July 2004 and went on to make 42 appearances in his first season, scoring six goals.
The former England international was employed as a centre forward and centre half during the campaign, and was instrumental in Leicester's FA Cup run which eventually saw them knocked out of the competition by Blackburn at the quarter-final stage.
His signing will come as a major boost for City boss Craig Levein as he continues to build a squad to mount a challenge for Championship honours this coming season.
He said: "We are really thrilled that Dion has decided to re-sign. From the moment I came to the club he wanted to buy into what we were doing - both on the field and off it.
"He has certainly more than merited the offer of a new deal and we are delighted to have him on board again for next season."
