Dodds Treble Dumps Dons
A Louis Dodds hat-trick fired the under 18s to an emphatic 3-1 victory over MK Dons at Milton Keynes on Saturday afternoon.
The Foxes went into the game on the back of an impressive 1-0 win over Aston Villa t the Belvoir Drive training ground last weekend.
And that fine form would continue as Leicester made it five wins out of seven for the season.
Dodds opened his account following a quickly taken Adam Wykes free kick during the opening period, but the Dons would equalise on the stroke of half-time.
But the Foxes came out for the second half all guns blazing - and Dodds would smash home a second after a neat turn before putting the game out of reach with a clever lob over the 'keeper in the closing stages.
Speaking after the game, Academy director Jon Rudkin said: "We had the right attitude today and I am pleased with the way that we played.
"The conditions were very difficult as the lads were playing in a near gale force wind, but they dug in to get the result."
City: Pentney, Norval, Mattocks (Chambers), Lycett, Goodwin, Tegan-Sie, Wykes, King, Dodds (Gridell), Muggleton, Odhiambo (Magunda).
