Six Up For Academy

Leicester City's under 18 side made it three in a row with an emphatic 6-3 victory over Fulham at the Belvoir Drive training ground on Saturday afternoon.

The Foxes had gone into the game on the back of impressive victories over Stoke City and Ipswich Town.

And Steve Beaglehole's men would make it a hat-trick of wins for the season after getting the better of the Cottagers.

Remarkably, the score had been just 1-0 in City's favour going into half-time.

But the young charges were quickly out of their blocks in the second period, and were soon 4-0 to the good.

Fulham grabbed two goals back, but Leicester were soon back in charge again - and would make it 6-2 before Fulham grabbed a late consolation.

City's goals came from Eric Odihambo (3), Max Gradel (2) and Billy McKay on the day.

Academy manager Jon Rudkin said: "We are obviously delighted to have scored six on the day, but we are equally disappointed to have conceded three.

"We now face a trip to Crystal Palace next week and that will be another tough test for us."

City: Pentney, Cox, Lycett, Magunda, Rowe-Turner (King), Gradel, Tejan-Sie, Mattock, Beswick (Chambers), McKay (Howard), Odihambo.
