Academy Make It Five On The Bounce

The Leicester City under-18 side made it five wins on the spin when they defeated Watford 1-0 on Saturday morning.

The young charges went into the game on the back of an impressive 5-0 win over title chasing Aston Villa.

And a first half Ashley Chambers header proved to be enough for the Foxes on the day at Watford's training ground.

Speaking after the game, Academy director Jon Rudkin said: "It was a very brightly contested game that we just shaded on the day.

"Watford have a FA Youth Cup quarter final clash coming up this week, which shows what a good side they are.

"But I was again pleased with our performance. We have now conceded just one goal in five encounters which is a fantastic effort."

Thought a certain ex Man u goalkeeper was a little unfair with his after match remarks about us.He stated that only one side wanted to play and Blackburn deserved to go through.IMO bollox.
The stats say that they only had about 3 more shots at goal than us .Poss was 50-50. You can hardly say we were dominated. With a couple of half decent strikers up front i'm convinced we would have beaten them.
IMO we deserved a draw
