Hammond's agent deserves the most in the division, must've had to work hard to get someone to pay a fee for him!

Anyone know how the system works, i presume players under contract cost more in agents fees? :102:

The senior partner where I work is a licensed football agent ( Boo! Hiss! ). The fees may not be related to the fee, indeed they can sometimes be higher re the signing of someone out of contract. It all depends on how badly the club want the player and a number of other factors as to the level of the fees paid to agents.

Elvis Hammond has quite a famous agent actually.......................

Good thing is, the payments appear to be coming down. However, the Football League are bringing in regulations to supposedly make the players pay the agents fees, but we all know they will still be paid, either through larger payments to the players or via third parties. However, as most agents fees are spread over the length of the players conract, we are not getting the full picture.

As I said earlier, some may relate to signings up to three years' previous to that six months figures we have been given.

Having discussed this topic with him, we can say that Andrew Taylor working with Tim Davies are doing all they can to minimise these fees in any future transfer negotiations & look for full justification for any fees claimed.

Clubs don't want to lose agents. Clubs use them as scapegoats and also use them as an avenue to "tap up" a player that should be unaproachable.

Any club is bigger than any agent, they could easily bypass them, but choose not to because they are more of a help than a hinderence. Football clubs are powerful entities, does anybody really believe that they couldn't stop the activities of agents if they really wanted to?

Agents are staying
