Is Alex McLeish a possible target?

He said he was leaving at the end of the season

Also he wants to manage in England. So he could possibly manage in the premiership although i cant see there being many vacancies other then maybe the newcaslte post.

Great another Scot from the Micky Mouse league who wouldn't have a clue about what it takes to succeed down here. Thats just what we need!:icon_roll

I think McLeish would be better than Levein. He's done okay in the CL and has worked with higher quality players.
The failure of Levein was not just down to his experience.

He's got a sub standard Rangers side into the last 16 of The Champions League so he can't be that bad.

We have had good Scottish managers in the past, just look at Matt Gilles and the great Jock Wallace. CL was just not cut out for it

McLeish would be good IMO. But I thought that about Levein and it didn't turn out. :icon_conf

Could be another Jock Wallace!!!

1. Get the team fit by running up all sand hills - 1st season
2. Promotion as Champions - 2nd season
3. Relegation after promising on Central News we'd win the title - 3rd season
4. FA Cup Semi and off to Motherwell - 4th season

Happy days....:icon_bigg

BG you're a man after my own heart - Jock Wallace was manager when I first started going regluarly to Filbo - I cried when he left (I'd just learned to understand him!!!):038:

Feckin Motherwell......

No, not for me, now is not the time to run the risk of experimenting with another Scottish manager with no experience of English football.

I know I've mentioned this before, but it was my finest hour so I've got no problems mentioning it again.

Jock Wallace, the most feared man in football, used to live fairly close to me when I was a nipper. One day I plucked up the courage to knock on his door and ask for his autograph. He answered, scowled down at me, said "whathafuggunellyouswanehkid?", then quickly signed my book and slammed the door.

Priceless! Had to go home and change my trousers pronto though...
