Striker Dion Dublin has been offered a new contract at Leicester City Football Club.

But Nathan Blake, Nikos Dabizas, Scot Gemmill, Keith Gillespie, Lilian Nalis and Ian Walker have been released after manager Craig Levein announced his retained list this lunchtime (Friday).

Good news, shame Walker won't be here next season, hopefully CL has got a suitable replacement lined up on lower wages. Also good to see Dawson offered a contract after the praise he's received regarding his perfomances in the reserves (I've not seen him play, so I can't comment!).

I wasnt expecting Walker to go, I thought he would of accepted a reduced wages deal. I would be interested to know if he was offered a new deal or just shown the door and i would also be interested to see who we bring in. Lets hope its Taylor.

well at 36/37 he's not going to get a better deal elsewhere is he. i think if dion is offered some sort of player/coach role he'll be more than happy. i think we all know it makes sense as he's the model pro and very well respected by his colleagues
