Just read 'express delivery' can take a day

So how long is normal delivery?

I need a book for uni and it's needed by the weekend. Waterstone have quoted 7-10 days.

Do you think I will have probelms in asking Coventry Uni's Waterstones in reserving it for me? (I have told it's in stock at their store)

Normal Delivery is stated as up to 7 days. But it always arrives much much sooner than that. I remember ordering Resident Evil 4 with free (normal) delivery and it came the day before release. Most of the time it is a 2-3 day wait.

So, always opt for free delivery, but if you need something quickly it is worth the extra £5 or so for Express, to guarantee it comes in time.

as macky says generally delivery is 2-3 days but thats from when the item is despatched-and sometimes that can also take 2-3 days

I said no such thing.

My 'Jim'll fixit' DVD boxset took weeks to arrive but I think that was due to over-demand.

I bought something on friday, arrived monday with normal delivery

Amazon are outstanding for quick delivery.

Ordered Halo 3 and took the first class delivery - arrived in the post about 10 AM on the game's release date.

I think they rely on the PO so don't expect any fast deliveries ATM.
